RESIDENT MAIL GUIDE: Frequently Asked Questions

What address should I use to mail things?

Brottier Hall: 700 Forbes Avenue, Apt #, Pittsburgh, PA 15219

St. Martin Hall: 1315 Bluff St, Apt #, Pittsburgh, PA 15219

McGinley Hall: 1045 Forbes Avenue, Apt #, Pittsburgh, PA 15219

What is the process for picking up mail?

Paper mail is sorted and placed in your apartment mailbox Please go to the front desk and request your mail key, check your mailbox, and return the mail key to the front desk It is important that you check your mailbox regularly

Packages will either be placed in the Amazon Hub or stored in the mail closet You will receive an email from either the Amazon Hub or Package Tracker letting you know that you have a package to pick up

How do I check my Amazon Hub Code?

If you did not receive an email with a Hub code in it, you can find your code in your Amazon account

Go to Amazon website > Select your name in the top right corner above accounts & lists > Scroll down and click on any message that you have that says “You have a package to pick up at the Amazon Locker”

Once you click on that it will reveal a screen with a barcode, take that to the Hub and scan it to retrieve your package Repeat these steps for any additional packages This will work for any packages even if they aren’t from Amazon

What if my package isn’t from Amazon, will it still be in the Hub?

Possibly! If your package is from another company, our staff often will put it in the Amazon Hub You will get a notification from the Hub with a code to use to pick up the package If the Hub is full, or the package is too big to fit in the Hub, the package will be in the Mail closet In that case, you will receive an email from Package Tracker stating that you have a package to pick up at the front desk

What if I get a notification that my package was delivered, but I haven’t gotten an email from package tracker or Amazon?

We have multiple mail shifts throughout the day. Depending on when the package is delivered, it may take a few hours for the packages to be sorted by our staff. Additionally, double check the delivery address that you used. Sometimes, the package will be delivered to your old residence or the Des Places Mail Center.

What if I still can’t find my package?

If you tried all the steps above and still cannot find your package, check the website you ordered it from to see if they left a picture of where they delivered it. This will help you figure out if it was delivered to the right area. If it still isn’t there, please email LiveatLuminaDUQ@cocm.com. Explain the situation and ask for help resolving the issue.

OVER THE BREAK: Updates to the Lumina communities

Introducing the Bevi machine in McGinley Hall!

The Bevi machine is located in McGinley Hall and is free for residents to use! Stop by and try it out today!

Beginning this semester, all residents must swipe their ID cards at the front desk of McGinley Hall as a step for security measures. We appreciate your understanding and efforts to continue securing McGinley Hall to our residents and their guests!

Phase II of McGinley Hall is now open. Phase II includes floors 8-11, which will have leases that begin July 1 and end in May. If any current resident is interested in this lease term beginning July 1, 2025 and ends in May, reach out to us via email to let us know! These residents would be financially responsible for their current lease until July 22. This means they would be financially responsible for 2 leases for 22 days. We hope this helps the population that is interested in this lease term (July-May).
