Thank you for reading the third summer communication letter for summer 2025! We are grateful you are part of our Lumina communities.
Brottier Hall
Brottier Hall is located across from the library, School of Law, and School of Health Sciences Brottier offers the convenience of apartment-style living in the heart of the university community.
Students in their junior and senior years, and graduate programs are eligible to live in Brottier Hall.
McGinley Hall
McGinley Hall is our newest building located on Forbes Avenue. The building features a variety of amenities our residents love. Students in their Junior & Senior year, as well as students in their Graduate or Masters programs are eligible to live in McGinley Hall.
St. Martin Hall
St. Martin Hall offers a unique living experience exclusively for sophomores. This studio apartmentstyle residence provides students with increased independence while still being part of the on-campus community. Each unit includes a bathroom, kitchenette, and modern furnishings.

MCGINLEY MOVE IN!
FLOORS
8-11
If you are living in McGinley Hall floors 811, this information is for you! we anticipate to see you soon as your lease for McGinley floors 8-11 begins July 1.
You MUST sign up for a timeslot to move in. We cannot guarantee your unit will be ready for your move in date if you do not sign up! Please sign up prior to 6/30. Residents of McGinley floors 8-11 must sign up for a timeslot between the hours of 9am-3pm Monday-Friday to move in. If you do not see a timeslot available for when you wish to move in, please email us directly so we can work with you. Residents seeking to move in outside of these hours must receive approval 48 business hours prior to their arrival by sending an email to liveatluminaduq@cocm.com.
APARTMENT MEAL PLANS
WHAT IS AN APARTMENT MEAL PLAN?
With the variety of cooking amenities that the Lumina buildings offer, not all students want a traditional meal plan! Duquesne Dining offers apartment meal plans with 5-7 meal swipes a week and flex! This is a convenient option for students who still plan to grab lunch at one of the many dining options on campus. You are not required to have a meal plan when living in the Lumina communities.
HOW TO GET A MEAL PLAN
You can sign up for an apartment meal plan through DORI. Log in using your Duquesne credentials and click on the Meal Plan tab, then Apartment Meal plan. From there you are able to select your desired meal plan! Returning Lumina residents can now sign up for apartment meal plans. New Lumina residents will need to wait until the end of the summer to apply, as housing has not yet transitioned for the semester.

7 meal swipes per week, $750

PARKING IN BROTTIER
Brottier Hall Parking Garage 2025-2026 Applications
Brottier Hall's Parking Garage is accessible around the clock for residents with a parking permit. Residents interested in applying for a parking permit must apply. Online applications will be hosted on Campus Link and open to residents on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 12:00 PM. The annual cost is $1,600. Spaces are limited and assigned based on application time, so apply early!
Residents currently holding a parking permit and wanting to renew for 2025-2026 year; will also need to complete the application that opens July 1st, 2025 on Campus Link. You will then need to return your old parking pass to receive your new 20252026 parking pass between July 18 , 2025 and August 1st, 2025. th

On both Friday, August 15th and Monday, August 18th from 9:00am - 4:00pm we will welcome residents needing to move in early. Please fill out the early arrivals form. Everyone must fill out the form including; students wishing to move in early, RA’s, Orientation Team, student employees, etc.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND ANY MAIL OR PACKAGES TO YOUR BUILDING PRIOR TO MOVING IN! YOU WILL NEED TO SIGN UP WITH THE AMAZON LOCKER LINK SENT BY LUMINA.
Summer residents in Brottier and McGinley Hall may continue receiving mail to the Amazon Hub located in their building!
