SHADES OF GREY. Shadows within the memory, of past existence dwell, A me, a glimpse, an image, forever for to tell, A picture now unfolding, but never quite enough, A dream or conscious thought, Which one do we trust? Life it is so complex, seldom black or white, But the shades of grey determine, which pathway is right, For contained within the illusion, the passages of me, I the essence mankind yearns for, That which can never be defined. A parallel con nuum, of choices to be made, Have we made them once before? Or are we just afraid? Of opening up the barriers, those that don’t conform, To the way of rela ve thinking, From the moment we are born. For by blocking out possibili es, Shu ng down the link, Contorts that which is important, Constricts the way we think, Being able to project, beyond all we can see, Unveils our inner purpose, That called des ny. For mankind walks this planet, so different yet so alike, As we all have capabili es, if prepared to fight, To step out of the darkness, where indecision lies, As hopes and dreams need to be believed, To eventually survive.
