Haun ng depression, the blackness of mood, The chill of apathy, self abuse, Devoid of emo on, an empty shell, Unable to break, the intrinsic spell, When the substance of life, appears to be gone, Inability to connect, unwilling to belong, Ensnared in the mindset, of turbulent thoughts, That smother with intensity, purpose ma ers naught, Whispering voices, that taunt with zeal, Confusion in dis nguishing, just what is real, Searching for answers, percep on lost, Do we submit, or bear our cross, Terrors unspoken, the embodiment of pain, Behind our mask, we choose to remain, Reluctant to burden, anyone else, As this individual conflict, is the ba le of oneself, The sense of hopelessness, insecure, afraid, Within the soulful yearning, to be saved, Therein the realisa on, the analysis of truth, Necessita ng fear, to be removed, Dispelling the delusion, the embodiment of despair, Accep ng the touch, of another’s care, Venturing forth with assurance, clarity of mind, Becoming accessible, when we seek to find, The strength of will, to conquer doubt, Resilience within, to a ain the way out, As the bridge across the abyss, is ours to project, Founda ons being laid, are those of self respect, To forgive oneself, to judge no more, finally at peace, The shadows of remorsefulness, can now be released, To understand with trust and faith, That life is sacrosanct indeed, That there is a light, within our darkest hour, When in ourselves we do believe.
