We are on the frontlines, responding to the alarming threat of expanded abortion pill distribution and use in a post-Roe world by launching our groundbreaking I Saw My Baby series this past year. These true stories brought to light the heartbreak of women who, after taking the abortion pill, experienced trauma so intense they desperately wanted to warn other women against using this most common form of abortion. The series garnered millions of views and spurred activism events and a petition with over 177,000 signatures demanding CVS, Rite Aid, and Walgreens halt the distribution of the deadly pills.
This past year, Live Action also led a coalition of dozens of groups and leaders, uniting our movement behind a New North Star for the post-Roe era: to end abortion by ensuring recognition of equal protection of preborn children under the 14th Amendment. We were also thrilled to host our second Lawmakers Summit, where we gathered together dozens of leading pro-life legislators from across the nation to equip them to fight for life in their states. Since our first summit in 2022, North Dakota has passed a bill requiring public schools to show our Baby Olivia video or similar fetal development material to every student. Five additional states have filed similar bills for the 2024 legislative session
designed to get Live Action’s fetal development content in public schools in their states.

Prompted by the success of Live Action’s Baby Olivia short film released in 2021, we launched a new tool in 2023 called Window to the Womb.
Baby Olivia uses life-like, medically accurate 3-D animation to show the humanity of a preborn child growing in the womb. Baby Olivia has been viewed over 56 million times, and countless hearts and minds have been moved by the reality she presents. Window to the Womb, launched in December 2023, is a web app created as an expansion of Baby Olivia and offers an interactive, day-byday encounter with the
development of the preborn child during pregnancy. Viewers can name the child as they enter the site, learn incredible facts about stages in development, and see the intricate growth of the child in a pausable timelapse. This tool is especially powerful for impressionable young people and pregnant women, allowing them to connect with their preborn children. A web app of this caliber has never been created before and is already changing minds against abortion.

In April, North Dakota’s governor, Doug Burgam, signed HB 1265, affectionately named the “Baby Olivia bill,” into law, requiring that schools show a medically accurate, high-definition video on preborn human development during each week of pregnancy until birth.
ND State Senator Janne Myrdal presented Live Action’s Baby Olivia as the model for this necessary education. “I was inspired by Live Action’s ‘Baby Olivia’ video, so I drafted legislation showing students the divine journey that every human being experiences.”
More state leaders are expected to follow in North Dakota’s footsteps by introducing a Baby Olivia bill in 2024.

In post- Roe v. Wade America, more than half of all abortions now occur through the dangerous, DIY abortion pill. That percentage is expected to rise, as major pharmacies such as CVS and Walgreens have agreed to begin selling the deadly drug. In November 2023, Lila Rose spoke at the United Nations headquarters on the 75th anniversary of the Declaration of Human Rights. This Declaration was adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations in 1948, three years after the liberation of the Nazi death camps where the horrors and evils committed against the Jewish people and political dissidents emerged. Its purpose is to enshrine the rights and freedoms of all human beings in a shared commitment by the member states to never repeat the same atrocities of the Holocaust.
The Declaration’s preamble states that the rights enumerated are for “all members of the human family.” It adds, “recognition of the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world.” This was a powerful and important message for the founding members of the United Nations to make at the time, but 75 years later, the same institution does not uphold these same truths. Most members of the United Nations today support the human rights abuse of abortion.
Hosted by the Political Network for Values, the Transatlantic Summit gathered 200 world leaders and political representatives from approximately 30 countries around the world. These leaders share a common goal of protecting human dignity and human rights, defending life from conception to natural death. During the Summit, attendees read the Declaration of Human Rights from the floor of the United Nations Headquarters, calling on its members to defend the same declaration that the founders of this body once held.
On June 15, Live Action was joined by 26 pro-life groups and individuals to publish The New North Star Coalition Letter, posing a clear, unified goal for the pro-life movement post- Roe: ending abortion by acknowledging the equal protection of preborn children under the 14th Amendment.
Part of the letter states:
“The Fourteenth Amendment expressly forbids the states from denying ‘to any person within [their] jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws’… Crucially, the Amendment then goes on to provide that ‘no state shall deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.’”
This visionary letter demands equal protection for preborn children from the moment of fertilization by means of the protections guaranteed by the 14th Amendment. It states, “There can be no distinction between someone’s biological humanity and his or her legal personhood. …From the earliest embryonic stage to the very end of life, each and every human being is a person and a bearer of fundamental dignity and has an unalienable right to life.”
The letter further calls upon every branch and level of government to
adopt policies consistent with this framework of equal protection.
Lila Rose, speaking on the letter’s release, commented, “At this moment, the pro-life movement is speaking with clarity and unity: we will completely end abortion and ensure that equal justice is achieved for every human being… That is our unified paradigm for victory, and nothing less will be acceptable.”

Live Action held its fourth annual Life Awards Gala in Dana Point, California in September. We spent the evening celebrating the progress and impact of Live Action and the pro-life movement, looking forward to the important work ahead, and honoring three outspoken heroes who are boldly defending life in politics, media, and local activism.
Supermodel-turned-super-mogul Kathy Ireland is the most powerful woman-owned licensing brand in the world, according to License Global. Kathy enjoys a global platform as a result of proven leadership in human rights advocacy, including for the rights of preborn children. Ireland uses her platform to call for resistance to laws such as AB2223, which legalized infanticide in her home state of California.
In 2018, Governor Stitt received more votes than any gubernatorial candidate in state history in his first bid for elected office of any kind. While running for office, Governor Stitt promised that he would sign every pro-life bill that came across his desk, and he has kept that promise. Stitt is a fourth-generation Oklahoman and a graduate of Oklahoma State University. He and his wife, Sarah, have been married for 25 years, and they have six children.
The Sisters of Life are a religious community of women founded in 1991 by Cardinal John O’Connor. In addition to the three consecrated religious vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience, they take a fourth vow to protect and enhance the sacredness of human life. Noah completed his undergraduate and graduate education in Political Science & Legislative Affairs at George Washington University. At Live Action, Noah leads communications and public policy initiatives to ensure preborn Americans are treated with dignity and have their right to equal protection recognized under the law. Noah lives in Missouri with his wife and daughter, often traveling to Washington, D.C. and state capitals nationwide to fight for life.
