OCTOBER 2012

Youth Group News This year the Youth Group team has selected a new curriculum entitled Re:form. Our first session was on September 2nd, and the youths enjoyed their first experience so much that they asked to extend the class so they could all watch the lesson's video segment for a second time. Please see the article in the September Glad Tiding for a summary of this year’s curriculum, and check the St. Mary's facebook page for a video link about Re:form. In addition we are planning on having seven after church events with the youth group. Future events include laser tag, the DIA, roller skating and a trip to the Sloan Museum. We are also planning on having a youth group overnight on New Year ’s Eve and Maundy Thursday.

Fellowship Committee

Bible Study

The Fellowship Committee is hosting a Fall Colors Walk on Sunday, Oct. 7th. Meet in the Fellowship Hall at 3 p.m. for a walk around the grounds of St. Mary's and Canterbury Village. There will even be a scavenger hunt for the kids! We will also enjoy a delicious caramel apple bar after the walk.

Tuesday morning Bible Study continues this week at 10 a.m. All are most welcome. Coffee/tea will be provided. We will continue the study of a booklet called "Psalms, Prayers of the Heart."

The Fellowship Committee will be meeting again on Tues., Oct. 16th at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. If you are interested in planning fellowship events for our church family such as Open Mic Night, Euchre Night, and Holiday Movie Night, please consider joining this fun committee. See Stacy Tines for more information.

See Sue Sanna if you have questions.
