Transportation Resources Valley Mover 8336 West Parks Hwy, Wasilla (907)892-8800 Fax: (907)892-8801 Email: manager@valleymover.org Website: valleymover.org Valley Mover is a public bus operating Monday-Friday between Mat-Su Valley and Anchorage offering 14 round trips a day. In the Valley you can catch the Valley Mover bus at the Bus Barn Park and Ride at Mile 50, Parks Highway in Meadow Lakes, at the Wasilla Fred Meyer by Pet Zoo, or the Trunk Road Park and Ride. Valley Mover stops in Anchorage at the Downtown Transit Center on 6th Avenue & H Street and in front of the Museum at 6th Avenue & C Street. All Valley Mover buses are equipped with bike racks. Fare is $7 one way, $10 for a day pass, or $120 for an unlimited monthly pass. Office hours: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mat-Su Senior Services 1132 S. Donations are accepted for all rides. There is a charge for Anchorage trips (round-trip $80. Suggested donations: Palmer (round-trip) $5.50; Wasilla (one-way) $5.50. To schedule transportation to a medical appointment in Palmer, Wasilla or Anchorage please call and schedule as soon as possible. Transportation for shopping at Carrs of Fred Meyer is provided on Wednesdays after lunch. Rides to Walmart are provided on Fridays, when volunteers are available. Please call in advance to schedule appointments. To qualify for transportation services, individuals must be either 60 years or older, or any age and receive Medicaid waiver services, or people any age who receive regular Medicaid. Non-Emergency Medical Transportation People who have Medicaid can access local non-emergency ground transportation to get to medical appointments when the member has exhausted all other means of travel, including public transportation. To request transportation assistance through Medicaid, ask your doctor to request prior authorization for Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) when you make your next appointment. Physicians and Care Coordinators may request prior authorization for travel a Medicaid members to get to medical appointments by contacting Conduent.
