Welcome At Lingfield Prep School we believe that what goes on outside the classroom is equally as important as the work that goes on within it to provide a well-rounded educational experience for our children. Our co-curricular and enrichment programme is rich, stimulating and rewarding, designed to complement our curriculum by harnessing our pupils’ natural curiosity, encouraging them to try new experiences, building their skills and developing their talents. Our programme includes a huge variety of clubs and activities, over 65 in total. Whether your child is sporty, creative, musical, academic, or wants a chance to relax and have fun, there is something for everyone.
The curriculum in the Early Years and Prep School is enriched with experiences such as outdoor education lessons, dance and music. ISI Report
Our aim is that when our pupils move up to Senior School, they leave us with bundles of confidence, a genuine taste for adventure and the desire to expand their horizons. Equally important, that they take with them wonderful memories of the fun, rich and rewarding experiences they have shared with their friends.

Creative & Expressive ART CLUB YEAR GROUP: 1-4 At Art Club, you can let your creative energy flow. Improve your drawing skills and experiment with paints, inks, pastels and 3D work. It is colourful, imaginative and fun!
DRAMA CLUB YEAR GROUP: 3-6 Drama club is an exciting opportunity for pupils to develop their performance skills, improve their self-confidence and awareness…and have lots of fun!
ENRICHED ART CLUB
LIBRARY CRAFT & CREATE CLUB YEAR GROUP: 5-6 This relaxed and friendly club is perfect for children who love crafting, chatting with friends, and expressing their creativity. Learn how to make friendship bracelets, pom-poms, bookmarks, origami, and simple paper boxes, along with other seasonal crafts.
MUSICAL THEATRE CLUB YEAR GROUP: 3-4 A fun session learning the basics of stagecraft and performance skills whilst singing, dancing and acting. We will explore lots of different musicals each term.
YEAR GROUP: 5-6 A club to stretch able artists in different media. We focus on projects and learning new skills for scholarship applications and those who simply love art. (By Invitation only)

STORY STARTERS YEAR GROUP: 1-2 Each week, children will share stories with older reading buddies, explore new tales together, and take part in fun craft activities inspired by books. A warm, creative space where young readers grow into confident storytellers.
STORY SEEKERS YEAR GROUP: 4-6 A fun and friendly club where we enjoy book quizzes, games, writing our own book reviews, and recommending to our friends. It’s a perfect place for young readers to explore new stories.

Fun, creative and confidence-building sessions using props, games and imaginative play to help develop coordination and self-expression.
Kimura Shukokai Karate. Karate training is a structured but dynamic activity focusing on self-protection. Children will develop practical skills in a safe environment.
DANCE Dare Dance offer a range of different Dance classes. Modern/Street Dance for Nursery and Reception. An energetic class filled with movements and routines. Street Dance for Years 1-2. An upbeat, energetic class with simple and intermediate routines, breakdancing, hip hop and much more.
Acro Dance for Years 3-6, which is a mix of modern dance, gymnastics, tumbling and group work.
SPORTS CLUB YEAR GROUP: REC-6 Sports Clubs run before and after school and also at lunchtime. There are fun activities to develop their hand-eye coordination and striking and fielding skills. From Year 3, we focus on seasonal sports such as: Athletics, Cross Country, Cricket Football, Hockey, Netball and more.

Weekly practice at aural gives confidence and improves the results for pupils in the weeks before an exam.
Music Theory is encouraged for pupils who have attained Grade 2 on their instrument. This will help them gain a greater knowledge and understanding of the music they are reading.
A specialised recorder group that will discover the roots of recorder music from the Baroque era. Open to any child in Years 4 to 6 who would like to explore the Alto and Tenor recorders.
BAND WORKSHOP
We encourage all pianists to join this piano duet club, where we find duet partners and music for their standard of playing - even writing it ourselves if need be. Pupils can play for fun or work towards a performance.

Pupils can grow plants and vegetables within the school grounds and tend to them throughout the year. Harvesting and eating the produce are highlights of the summer term.
This club aims to offer some calm and quiet relaxation from a busy day. All children can participate in activities that promote wellbeing, such as yoga, mindfulness and colouring.
PLAYDOUGH CLUB YEAR GROUP: REC Where little hands get busy squishing, rolling, and creating all sorts of marvellous masterpieces! Each session helps strengthen tiny fingers while letting imaginations run wonderfully wild. It’s a happy, calming space where children can giggle, explore, and proudly show off their squishy creations.

Code Club is a fun and engaging opportunity for children in Years 3– 6 to develop their digital skills through creative and interactive projects. Using age-appropriate coding tools and software, children will learn the fundamentals of programming while designing games, animations, stories, and problemsolving challenges.
Eco Warriors is open to all Eco Councillors who want to help us with hands-on eco-initiatives. Pupils will be involved in developing the School’s biodiversity and working with departments that could reduce our carbon emissions and general waste. Be prepared to get messy and inventive as we put our heads together to find imaginative ways to make our school even more ecofriendly! (By Invitation only)
A fun and exciting nature club for children who love exploring the outdoors. Through hands-on activities, crafts, and pond-dipping adventures, children discover the fascinating plants, insects, amphibians, and wildlife that live in and around our school pond.
This exciting computer club is open to young digital explorers who want to develop coding skills and essential IT know-how. Children will learn through fun, hands-on activities.

Stretch & Challenge ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT The Academic Enrichment Programme focuses on developing and refining key skills needed to approach problemsolving activities, logic puzzles and strategic games. With a clear emphasis on scholarship and 11+ preparation, pupils are set engaging challenges to work through collaboratively, exploring the strategies and thinking processes required to work effectively, build resilience and develop confidence in tackling increasingly complex tasks. Members of the International Club will work to raise awareness of global diversity and internationalism throughout Lingfield Prep.
A fun club designed for Years 1-3 to explore cultures through hands-on activities. Sessions will introduce children to key words, stories, and traditions, aiming to nurture cultural awareness and support early language development.
Learning to touch type will help pupils in the future, as they can work faster and focus on content rather than the keyboard to produce high-quality work. Pupils follow an interactive Touch Typing program, allowing them to learn independently.
CURIOSITY CLUB YEAR GROUP: 5-6 Every few weeks, the club will dive into a brand-new theme, ranging from geography and history to nature and even “weird and wonderful” facts. Together, we’ll explore each topic, dig deeper into what makes it interesting, and get creative in how we share what we’ve learned.

The club is available for any pupil who has had difficulty accessing Mathletics at home during the week for their homework task.
A daily study club that runs after school in the ICT suite. This is a space where children can complete their homework, read quietly or engage in further study on and offline.

Breakfast Sessions are available to all Prep School years from 7.30 am in the dining room under full supervision. Children are then accompanied to their first class.
Our after-school sessions are committed to the children having fun and relaxing through a variety of activities they can choose from. The sessions include supper and operate daily throughout term time from the end of the timetabled school day.
Breakfast is a bacon or sausage bap, or cereal and toast (both options come with a drink). Healthy yoghurts, fruit and smoothies are also available. Parents are invited to join us for breakfast on the last Friday of every month.
We organise a range of fun and engaging activities. Children can choose to be active outside in our beautiful grounds, to be creative with arts and crafts or enjoy our many toys and games.
