This essay will show how ruins play with our minds and why people feel
attracted to or fascinated by them. That much that exists thousands of
restorations that preserve pieces of the past which show how attached we
are to it. Additionally, presents how the present has learned from the past
both socially and structurally. These will be studied based on two case
studies, one popular on a big scale as the Neues museum and the last one
will be a place where the ruins have not been altered as the Ingapirca
ruins.
