Smit and his team at Technivorm in the Netherlands have focused on one objective - making coffee makers. Gerard C. Smit started the business in his own home with a clear vision of creating a coffee brewer capable of brewing the best possible coffee. Having accomplished this task, he decided to go even further. A Moccamaster is extra fireproof, with the brewing element and hot plate manufactured separately and working independenly. All our coffee makers are handmade in the Amerongen factory in the Netherlands. They are then individually tested and carefully packed before they are shipped to quality-conscious coffee lovers around the world. Gerard C. Sumatra Lintong Arabica coffee which is grown close to the world’s largest volcanic lake, Lake Toba in the north of the island of Sumatra. Flavor: Full-bodied, earthy and mineral rich coffee with a strawberry sweetness. Low acidity.

Java Kayumas Single origin Arabica coffee from the Indonesian island of Java. Comes from the Kayumas Farm, situated in East Java at altitudes of 750–1,500m. Grows in volcanic soils. Flavor: Pure, fresh coffee taste with a citrus acidity. Clean cup and slightly oily mouthfeel.
India Monsooned Malabar Indian Arabica coffee which is dried in the monsoon winds on the coast of Malabar. The high humidity in the monsoon winds starts a fermentation and drying process, which gives the coffee its distinctive style. Flavor: Woody taste of cedar and nuts. Low acidity. Light mouthfeel. Oily.

Kenya Oaklands Arabica coffee grown at altitudes of 1,500–2,100m in the highlands of Mount Kenya, one of the most fertile parts of Africa. The area has rich, volcanic soils which give the coffee a superb taste and quality. Flavor: A fruity coffee with notes of blackcurrant and redcurrant. Clean, refreshing mouthfeel. Lots of good acidity.
Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Arabica coffee which is grown in the Sidamo region of Southern Ethiopia. The soils are rich and tropical, situated at altitudes of 1,600–1,900m. Coffee is Ethiopia’s most important farm crop and the country’s largest commodity. Flavor: Floral notes with apricot and bergamot. Clean cup and well-balanced acidity.
Guatemala Rossul Arabica coffee grown in the volcanic mountain areas at altitudes of 1,000–2,000m. Coffee is Guatemala’s most mportant commodity and the cornerstone of its economy. Flavors: Chocolate, almond and spice. Medium acidity and medium mouthfeel.
