LUNMW is an abbreviated quote of “I Love You No Matter What” that Life Choices Pregnancy Center’s (LCPC) Executive Director Christine Denova lives by. “It symbolizes how Jesus loves us and is what we want to convey to our clients.” Her heart matches her magnetic personality, gifted to come alongside the broken, no hesitation in praying with you; by far the most beautiful woman I have ever met and continue to be her biggest fan. Christine, a certified minister from Global University and former outreach ministry leader of Cedar Hills Church, oversees a caring staff of five that works alongside a volunteer base that exceeds 40! LCPC is an outreach ministry/extension of the church. They offer men and women facing situations surrounding unplanned pregnancy hope, help and healing—loving them NMW along the way; “Letting them know they are not alone and that they are loved ‘No Matter What’ they choose.” The LCPC team comes alongside clients educating them on the three distinct choices when facing pregnancy: parenting, adoption and termination. They start by giving the client medical grade pregnancy tests that are traditionally followed up by a limited obstetrical ultrasound. Here’s what you may not know: the center offers life-skill, parenting and relationship classes with an advocate/coach during the process. Parents can earn baby supplies for attending class (“earn while you learn”). New this year, the center now has sexually transmitted disease (STD) testing and treatment for the three most common STDs
in the area for both the client and their partners. LCPC collaborates with local middle and high schools educating students on healthy choices and relationships. Additionally, the center is now offering a class for youth on the damages of pornography. One of Christine’s heart-felt passions is the post-abortive healing arm of the ministry that helps people overcome the shame and brokenness experienced from the termination of past pregnancy. OK, ready for this? These services—yes all— are absolutely free for their clients! Funding comes exclusively from supporting churches, individuals and businesses, as no state or federal funds are received. Christine unwinds by being a “homebody” who likes to read, cook, watch movies and spend time with family and friends. She recently created a haven called the Jesus Room where she spends time with God, always interested in what He has to say. Married 25 years to yours truly and mom of Cal, Christine has resided in Sandpoint for over 12 years, originally coming from Chicago.
