Q: If you could go back, what would you do differently when scaling your team?
A: I don’t know that I would do too much differently. We have had great success in growth within our team. Maybe, if anything, I’d like to take more time to have meetings and gettogethers with my team Sometimes we get so busy we don’t allot for that quality time. It’s very important to me to make sure my team feels part of a family.
een a shining example of what true success at looks like, it’s Joseph Whichard. Joseph has been apex – of leadership as a Market Manager in our years, countless team members have said, “I want I want to work for him.” And with good reason.
arted, Joseph understood the opportunity in front ilt it into something remarkable. When he hired his knew the challenge had changed. And now, at this I couldn’t be more excited for him to take his next Executive Market Manager.

Please join me in congratulating Joseph Whichard on this milestone and thanking him for helping pave the way for future leaders to follow.
Joe means so much to all of us! He has been the best person I’ve ever worked under! He is always available to our team anytime we need him and he truly wants the best for all of us.
He builds special connections with everyone he meets because he cares! I can’t even count the agents who have spoken so highly of him since I started with Lighthouse. I am so grateful to be part of his team. And if you’re in the mood for a bologna sandwich, he can tell you where to get one!
I met Joseph about six years ago out in the field at a house where I was measuring and he was photographing. All I remember thinking was “man, what a cool dude!” I didn’t see him again after that, but ended up keeping his name in the back of my mind and the company he was with, Lighthouse Visuals. Fast-forward to 2023, when I decided to try going off on my own, which didn’t last long due to the fact that I just didn’t enjoy being my own boss.
After a short stint in a different industry working for a builder, I realized how much I’d missed this business, so I reached out to Joseph, and BOOM! Lighthouse was hiring.
Once I was onboarded, I got my drone license and started getting to know him. I’ll tell you what - he is definitely the best manager I’ve worked for at any job I’ve ever had. The first time I talked to him on the phone, my mind flashed back to when we originally met and how nice he was. He’s always quick to answer his phone and help with anything I need.
I couldn’t be happier under his leadership and look forward to the years ahead. I’m a lucky guy to be part of his team - You can tell how much everyone respects him and his work ethic. Just so happens that I have a lot of friends from Little Washington, and they all know and admire him like I do. Thanks, Joseph, and congratulations on your recent well-deserved promotion - you’re the man!
