“Style is the only thing you can’t buy. It’s not in a shopping bag, a label, or a price tag. It’s something reflected from our soul to the outside world - an emotion.” - Alber Elbaz
Park Cities Lifestyle purposefully shares polished and evocative language appealing to a discerning audience, YOU - the homeowners of our beloved Park Cities area. We are more than aesthetics - we are a refined expression of taste, sophistication and timeless elegance conveying an effortless sense of exclusivity and refinement. This month we share a refined expression of taste, sophistication and timeless elegance through the eyes of three variations of approach to style. Please take time to peruse our pages to experience some of our local imagery and exclusivity in refinement.
Note acclaimed designer Ese’ Azenabor as she shares the premier fashion couture’ design of her studios- both here in Dallas and in New York City; Laura Petka Art whose paintings are a balance between boldness and subtlety; and meet Preservation Beauty’s Livia Perez whose passion is enhancing each individual’s unique beauty.
In most simple terms, STYLE is the way something looks, sounds, or feels that makes it special or unique. It’s how you present yourself or your work - through clothing, our choice of words, personal design, or even behavior. Style shows your personality or taste, and helps you stand out. Whether it’s writing, fashion, a room’s decoration or most importantly how others feel when they are around you - style is the creative touch that makes each of these aspects your own.
As I’ve said previously - Life is meant to be lived, and in all honesty, it is up to each and every one of us to reach out and embrace our own exploration - hence, our own style.
“Good looks at the heart, not the outward appearance"

Global roots and bridal dreams shape Esé Grembowski’s couture journey.
ARTICLE BY LAUREN STONE
When Esé Grembowski moved to Dallas to pursue a master’s degree in accounting at SMU, she had no idea the city would be where she’d find her voice, and her future, in fashion.
“This was the first time I was on my own, not living under my parents’ roof,” says the Nigerian-born, Canada-raised designer. “I realized it was my chance to take a leap of faith and really pursue my fashion dreams.”
Grembowski has been designing dresses since the age of eight, creating her first garment before most kids had mastered tying their shoes. But her Nigerian upbringing emphasized academic achievement in more traditional fields. “My parents were very focused on education,” she says. “They wanted me to do something in the medical or financial field, so I chose accounting. But fashion was always my God-given gift.”
After just one semester at SMU, Grembowski made a bold choice: she left her graduate program and devoted herself full-time to design. Drawing on her multicultural background— including her childhood in Nigeria, upbringing in Canada, time spent in London, and international travels—she developed a distinct aesthetic rooted in global influences.
“In Nigeria, we celebrate even the smallest holiday with the brightest colors, beading, and intricate fabrics,” she says. “Even though my designs are not 100% African-inspired, those early influences still guide me.”
Grembowski’s design process is grounded in storytelling. Each new collection begins with a single word: an emotion or symbol that anchors her vision. “It helps keep the collection focused and intentional. From there, we design custom fabrics, refine silhouettes, and reinvent classics.”
This fall, Grembowski will showcase her latest evening and bridal collections at New York Fashion Week in September and New York Bridal Fashion
Week in October—an annual highlight the Esé Azénabor team looks forward to with great excitement.
While she still adores designing evening wear, bridal has become the beating heart of her brand. “I didn’t expect to fall into bridal, but I feel so blessed that I did,” Grembowski says. “It’s the greatest feeling to be trusted with the moment a woman has dreamed about since she was a little girl.”
That trust is something Grembowski never takes for granted. “One day I won’t be here, but that photo of a bride
in her gown? That stays,” she says. “Maybe her daughter or granddaughter pulls it out and alters it for her own big day. It becomes part of a family’s story.”
This year, as she celebrates a decade of her brand, Grembowski steps into a new chapter with the opening of a 7,000-square-foot showroom in the Park Cities. With locations in Dallas and New York, and gowns carried in more than 26 boutiques worldwide, her reach is growing—but her mission stays the same: to help women feel powerful, beautiful, and unforgettable.

THE VIBRANT EBB AND FLOW OF REAL LIFE IS THE HEARTBEAT OF DALLAS PAINTER LAURA PETKA’S STRIKING FINE ART
Laura Petka’s creativity began at a young age and has blossomed over the years. “I’ve been a painter and an artist for as long as I can remember—really, since childhood,” she says.
Nowadays, the Park Cities resident is a treasured professional with an impressive list of clients and an impeccable reputation.
Her large-scale, highly textured paintings anchor rooms with depth, dimension, and visual impact—perfect for the elevated, design-conscious spaces that Dallas is known for.
Dynamic, vibrant, and textured, Petka’s paintings are remarkably affordable, ranging from $4,000 to $9,500, depending on size.
“THERE’S SOMETHING VERY SPECIAL ABOUT CREATING ART IN THE SAME COMMUNITY WHERE I’M ALSO RAISING MY FAMILY.”
Petka spent six years of her career as an art gallery director in the Dallas design district, gaining a wealth of knowledge before embarking on her journey as a fine art artist.
In 2017, a family emergency changed everything, shutting down her painting for an extended period.
“This experience was a turning point for me in many ways, including in my art, and the Lord’s provision for me during this time gave me a whole new clarity on life.”
Over time, things improved, and the mother of four was eventually able to return to her work.
“If not for the unique journey my family experienced with the illness of our son, my work wouldn’t be what it is today,” she says.
“The valleys we endured shaped not only the person I am today, but the work I desire to create.”
As her body of work and critical recognition grow, Petka’s consumer base continues to expand with partnerships in Round Top, San Antonio, and Austin.
Each piece carries a deeper narrative, inspired by life’s highs and lows, and opens doors for real conversations.
“Collectors are drawn to my work not only for the aesthetic but for the emotional resonance behind every brushstroke,” says Petka.
“My journey—from personal hardships to healing—gives my art a level of vulnerability and truth that creates a genuine connection with collectors,” she says.
“My work doesn’t consist of trenddriven pieces—it is original, fine art meant to last … I create with intention and originality, offering collectors something timeless, meaningful, and archival,” she says.

Petka believes art should reflect life in all its complexity. “Art should reflect the raw, textured layers of life—both its beauty and its brokenness—inviting connection, emotion, and a deeper understanding of our journeys,” says Petka.
“I want my art to resonate with people, their stories, and reflect something personal about their lives, making my art a cohesive and beautiful layer within every collector’s home.”
“The bold, textured clusters on my canvases reflect and symbolize the way life’s defining experiences—grief, healing, joy, faith, motherhood—run together and collide, creating unexpected beauty.”
One of Petka’s greatest joys is living and working in the Park Cities near many of her clients, which allows her to build personal and professional relationships with collectors.
“There’s something special about creating art in the same community where I’m raising my family and building a life. The support I’ve received has been a steady reminder that what I’m doing matters—not only as an artist, but as a person living out a calling.”
Petka believes the most meaningful work comes from a place of truth, vulnerability, and lived experience.
“My goal is to create pieces that not only fill a client’s space but connect deeply with the person living alongside my work.”

ARTICLE BY KELSEY KOSH
Growing up, Livia Perez was the beauty guru of her friend group. “I was always doing my friends’ hair and makeup, and I was always that go-to person for all their beauty things, even for weddings, prom, or homecoming,” she remembers. Her mom encouraged her to open a salon, but her love of math and science drew her toward the medical field. She graduated from Texas Christian University with a nursing degree and worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Parkland Hospital for five years.
She eventually took on a second gig working with a plastic surgeon. “I just didn’t want to be in the O.R.” Perez says, “I liked the medical side of things a lot more when I was working for the surgeon.” When she discovered injections, she had found her passion. She left the plastic surgery practice to work at Renew Beauty in Northpark Mall, before taking roles at several SkinSpirit locations in DFW.
Over her years in the industry, Perez has realized she likes to take a more consultative, less sales-forward approach to medical spa procedures. “I just wanted to offer more of a boutique feel for my clients,” she says. “I wanted to offer a space where, when they come in, I’m never going to sell them on something that they don’t need. I wanted them to feel like they could continue trusting me.” She became a nurse practitioner in 2023 to incorporate more aspects of wellness into her approach to beauty.
She opened her own medical spa, Preservation Beauty, in April on the edges of University Park and Preston Hollow—and her clients followed. She works with each of them closely and individually, providing a full facial balancing consult and a yearlong treatment plan that often combines skincare, injectables, and laser treatments. “I believe in multiple modalities,” she explains. “I don’t believe that injectables alone will give people beautiful skin and the results they want.”
That means also addressing health and wellness in her recommendations. For example, Perez might tell a Botox client to take zinc and copper supplements to help extend the results of their treatment or help a client seeking a hair replacement therapy rule out any other medical causes.
“[Clients will] come in and say, ‘Oh, I’m losing my hair. Can we do a hair restoration treatment?’ I tell them, ‘Well, I want you to go to your labs done, check first, and make sure that this isn’t a cause of something else: Maybe you’re low in vitamin D, or you’re having some kind of thyroid problem,’” Perez says.
Preservation Beauty’s treatment options go far beyond traditional Botox and fillers. Perez says collagen stimulating treatments, including Sculptra, have been particularly popular lately among her clientele. Sculptra is a bio-stimulating injectable that activates the body’s natural collagen production. “We also have Sofwave, which is ultrasound technology, and it stimulates collagen and elastin and hyaluronic acid,” Perez says.
In the short-term, Perez hopes to continue growing her client base, perfecting her consultative approach, and incorporating wellness into what she does. “Right now, we really just want to perfect what we have,” she says. She also hopes to open a second location. “Maybe in Southlake,” she posits. “Everybody has a different story that brought them into my chair… and I just love being a part of that journey.”

1. DO YOUR RESEARCH
“I give my patients or people who are inquiring [about treatments] a lot of education in the room, but I also want them to educate themselves. I give them a lot of facts, a lot of studies, and a lot of resources.”
2. HAVE REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS
“You’re not going to [immediately] have face lift results. If you maintain what we are doing, it can buy you time until that time does come.”
3. MAINTAIN YOUR TREATMENT REGIMEN
“You’ll age gracefully that way. You can’t just come [once] and then not come for a year and a half. You have to be very consistent with your skincare, with your treatments, with everything.”
Preservation Beauty, located in Park Cities, Dallas stands out as a leading aesthetic clinic offering top-tier luxury services like Sculptra, Wrinkle relaxers, Dermal fillers, Sofwave, Microneedling, Skin treatments and Medical grade skincare. We take pride in delivering natural, elegant results that help you feel your most confident in your own skin. Owner and Nurse Practitioner, Livia was placed in the top 100 best aesthetic injectors national directory through nominations by peers and clients.
As part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing your unique beauty through personalized care, we are proud to announce that we now offer Sofwave—a groundbreaking treatment in non-invasive skin rejuvenation, firming, and lifting. This FDA-cleared treatment uses Synchronous Ultrasound Parallel Beam (SUPERB) technology to stimulate collagen and elastin production beneath the surface of the skin.

INthis unexpected love affair, fashion and interiors are more than just a simple pairing—they are rooted in culture, creativity, and the human desire for self-expression.
As conscious consumers of the 21st century, participating in a retail landscape that is oversaturated and struggling to adapt to the ever-changing demands of the modern customer, our purchasing power should not only respond to a feeling of want but also prioritize items that reflect who we are and who we aspire to be. This is clearly visible through the representation of fashion and interiors.
Although we tend to consider cost-perwear primarily when it comes to clothing, this same principle applies to furniture and the function it brings to the home. Aesthetics and functionality both play a role in this pairing, painting a picture for
the rest of the world of who the wearer is and how they live in their space.
The woman who wears a blazer with sharp shoulders that makes her feel powerful in her everyday life—or the black dress that gives her a necessary boost of confidence—may naturally gravitate toward sleek, modern furniture that feels equally strong and elevates the space where the modern woman thrives.
In the same way, someone who prefers an effortless ensemble—like their favorite white T-shirt and comfortable denim jeans—may also look for home pieces that
are functional and make their guests feel at ease. Even a handmade rug, one that sparks conversation about where it was found and adds a focal point to a room, mirrors how we search our closets for a sweater tied to a cherished memory.
Just as we carefully choose outfits to express ourselves, it’s equally important to ensure that our living spaces are designed with the same intention. More than ever, modern buyers are making purchasing decisions based on personal morals and values, forming a new wave of consumers who seek products that are both high-quality and environmentally or socially conscious, whether for themselves or their homes.
The following imagery affirms that living a timeless lifestyle across all aspects of life is possible through the thoughtful styling of sustainable clothing and vintage furniture. As the modern retail landscape continues to evolve, it’s become increasingly vital to make conscious consumer choices—ones that allow us to express our truest selves through both our wardrobes and the places we call home.
