Ross and Steffanie Barnoli enjoy being at home, so having a relaxing outdoor space was essential. Steffanie, designer at Designer Direct Interiors, worked with contractor Mike Oliver to ensure that every room has a door to the outside. With the assistance of Innovative Outdoor Concepts (Facebook.com/ IOCLandscape) and Mitschele’s Landscape Design (MitschelesLandscape. com), they created a resort feel. (See the landscapes feature in our March 2022 issue for more photos of the Barnoli home.) An example of that resort feel is how the fireplace off the dining room elevates every dining experience. The fountain garden space is one of Steffanie’s favorites. “My office opens to this area. The sound of the water is relaxing, while the flowers and pea gravel surrounding the space transports you to another country.”
