NATURALLY DYED EGGS To naturally dye eggs, create liquid dyes made from items found in your kitchen. • Blue: 4 cups shredded purple cabbage • Yellow: 2 tablespoons ground turmeric • Pink: 2 cans strained beets (no boiling or water needed). • Red-Brown: 4 cups chopped beets • Brown: 4 tablespoons ground coffee • Green: 6 cups spinach On the stovetop, boil the ingredients in 4 cups of water for 20 minutes. Remove from heat and strain out vegetables or spices used. Stir in 2 tablespoons vinegar to the liquid and let cool. Once cool, steep hard-boiled eggs in each liquid dye for 5 minutes up to 24 hours depending on the color depth you wish to achieve.
