ALLEY THEATRE RESIDENT ACTING COMPANY MEMBER, CHRIS HUTCHISON HAS A LONG LIST OF SUCCESSES WITH SIXTY PLAYS AND THIRTEEN YEARS AS A MEMBER OF THE RESIDENT ACTING COMPANY. But his definition of success… “success is this odd and wonderful artistic life - performing and growing and living as the member of a resident company. There are ups and downs as in all things, but I am thankful for my good fortune and my home here at the Alley.” Hutchison has an undergraduate degree in English from Lafayette College, and an MFA from The University of Washington. He has served as Adjunct faculty at the University of Houston for seven years, teaching in the BFA and MFA programs. He has also served as a visiting Lecturer and Director at Lafayette College and Cornell College in Iowa, as well as the Breadloaf School of English at Middlebury College in VT. Chris is a proud member of Actor’s Equity and the Screen Actors Guild/AFTRA. You may have seen him in one of his many roles: Ratchett in Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express, Roland in Constellations, and Dr. Irving Baer in Quack. Other favorites: (Padraic) Lieutenant of Inishmore, (Mervyn) A Behanding in Spokane, (Orsino) Twelfth Night, and (Michael) Good People. Off-Broadway/NY credits include: EST Marathon and revivals with Obie award-winning Keen Company. Chris’s solo show TRIP was selected for production by HERE Arts Center. Regional: Guthrie, Pasadena Playhouse, Baltimore Center Stage, Capital Rep, Milwaukee Rep, Pittsburgh Public, Hartford TheaterWorks, and six summers as a member of the Ensemble at Bread Loaf/Vermont, where he played Stanley Kowalski in A Streetcar Names PHOTOGRAPHY JENNY ANTILL, JEFF FITLOW, LYNN LANE, CLAIRE MCADAMS, NADINE PARKER
