Cold Facts There’s nothing quite like an ice cold drink on a warm summer’s day. This is an area where Independent Retailers have a big advantage over the multiples, whether it’s soft drinks, wines, beers, lagers or ciders, keep them cold and you’ll see your sales increase dramatically. Chilling soft drinks increases sales by 60%, an open dairy deck can increase your soft drink sales by a further 8%, and Consumers rate ‘serving temperature’ as the highest ranked attribute of a quality lager. So make sure the chiller is highly visible and make it easy for Customers to find what they want by grouping like products together, this alone can increase your sales by more than 8%.
