BRONZE MEDAL FOR LOCAL INDOOR BOWLER Mount Gambier’s Keisha Pearson has returned from the National Indoor Bowls Championships with a bronze medal - one of only three medals snared at the Shellharbour event by South Australian bowlers. A squad of 13 members from the Mount Gambier District Indoor Bowls Association were part of the national competition. Keiisha only narrowling missed out on claiming the gold in the girls singles and was thrilled to come away with a podium finish. The SA Men’s triples team of Milton Hawke jnr, Peter Kitching & Milton Hawke snr won the silver medal and also Aaron Hawke won silver in the Boys Singles. Keisha won seven out of the nine games played, only losing against the eventual winner and runner up. The game against the winner Ebony White went down to the last end with Keisha one shot up but Keisha dropped three shots and lost 14 shots to 16. The other Mount Gambier teams were not disgraced with a lot of them in medal contention on the last day.
