South East Field & Game held a 50 Target event at Burrungule Park at the end of last montrh, sponsored by Collins Court Butchers and JW Lamond Contracting. Seventy shooters attended the second leg of the Burrungule Pk/Lake Bonney Challenge. Burrungule Park shooters coped better on the day with the targets set by Jeremy and Neville Kent and managed to regain the Interclub Challenge Trophy back from Lake Bonney. Jeremy Kent won the Gambier Shooting Supplies High Gun with 48/50, including one perfect round of 25. AA grade had a three way tie on 47/50, with Jamie Dunn beating his father Leig,h with youth triumphing

A five way shoot off in A grade in the rain, was won by Ernie Scheidl, from Tim Widdison and Lake Bonney’s Alan Cowan, all having shot 42/50 B grade was won by Matt Crowe with 41/50 from Darren Murrell and the promising youngster Dylan Edwards. Andrew Baker came out of retirement to beat Charles Wallis in another shoot off to decide C grade, Slim Fennell took out third. in addition to a swagful of raffle prizes. finished third. In the Super veterans, Kevin Dyson also needed a shoot off to beat Peter Klieve, both 4with 3/50, with Barry Hill into third. Kellie Peterson won the :adies, while Cambell Serle 36/50 beat Dylan Scheidl by one target to win Juniors. An enjoyable day was had by the Senior Tennis Players at Mount Gambier’s Active 8 Centre at the end of last month Allan Rex won the men’s event from Brenton Manser, while the women’s event went the way of Cheryl Fitzjerald from Helen Rathjen. The next event will be June 19 at 11am back at the Active 8 Centre.
