Roadworks

Between 2nd – 25th March, Russett Close will be closed due to SGN works. From 3rd-5th March, Thames Water will be carrying out works on the A232 Crofton Road, with two-way signals in place.

On 5th March BT is carrying out works in North End Lane, Downe and the road will be closed.

From 9th – 11th March, Thames Water will be undertaking works in Tower Road Orpington, with multi-way traffic signals in place.

From 7th – 8th and 16th-18th March the A232 Crofton Road will have two-way traffic signals in place as Thames Water carries out works.

From 23rd-27th March, Thames Water will be working on the A223 Sevenoaks Road. Two-way traffic signals will be in place.

Delays are likely with stop/go boards in place on the A21 Farnborough Way, A21 Green Street Green, A21 Farnborough Common and the A232 Croydon Road until 20th March as Transport for London carries out works on street lighting.

POLICE UPDATES

Bromley Neighbourhood Watch Association has announced that the next Public Meeting of the Bromley Safer Neighbourhood Board has been designated a Cyber Crime Summit with specially invited speakers who will talk about all aspects of cyber crime. The event is scheduled to take place in the Hobbit Suite at the Warren, Croydon Road, Bromley, BR2 7AL from 7pm on Thursday 12th March. All residents of Bromley are welcome and attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss issues around Cyber Crime. Car parking spaces and refreshments will be available.

Transport

There will be no southeastern train services from London Victoria on Sunday 1st March. Services to Orpington (via Bromley South) will instead run to/from London Blackfriars, calling additionally at Elephant & Castle.

Buses replace trains between Lewisham and Orpington on Sunday 8th March due to engineering work.

Engineering work is taking place between Hither Green and Chislehurst / Bromley North, closing all lines on Saturday 21st March. On the Bromley South Line, London Victoria to Orpington services will be extended to run to Tonbridge.

On Sunday 22nd March, London Victoria to Orpington services will be replaced by buses between Beckenham Junction and Orpington. From Tuesday 24th March – Friday 27th March, after 00:00 until the end of service, buses will replace the last trains between London Victoria and Bromley South / Orpington via Herne Hill. Trains will be diverted to run non-stop between London Victoria and Bromley South via an alternative route.

Buses replace trains between Lewisham and Orpington on Saturday 28th March.
