PERFIL ACADÉMICO I PROYECTO - 2019-2020

Estimado papás: A continuación, se muestran los aprendizajes

que los alumnos deben alcanzar o

perfeccionar durante el Primer Proyecto, en las áreas de Lengua,

Matemática, Ciencias

Naturales, Ciencias Sociales e Inglés y en los hábitos escolares indispensables para asegurar el éxito en el curso. Su lectura, les permitirá apreciar con objetividad

los progresos de su hijo y en

consecuencia, participar más activa y conscientemente en el proceso de su educación integral.


INGLÉS First Grade UNIT 1: HELLO, COOL-1 INDICATORS 1. Students will be able to identify classroom objects, they’ll ask “What is it?”, to elicit, “It’s a/an2.. ( pencil, pen, ruler, crayon, book,,,) 2. Students will be able to ask yes/no questions to identify objects. They’ll ask “Is it a ruler?” to elicit, Yes, it is / No, it isn’t. 3. Students will be able to greet people by saying Hello, Hi, Good morning, Good afternoon, etc. They’ll also be able to ask for other people’s names and say what their own names are. UNIT 2: PETS ALL AROUND INDICATORS 1. Students will be able to ask questions about animals and pets. They’ll ask “What are they?” to elicit, “They’re (rabbits)”. 2. Students will be able to talk about quantity by asking “How many pets can you see?” to elicit “Three (dogs) etc. 3. Students wiil be able to give and follow simple commands such as listen, stand up, sit down, etc. 4. Students will be able to ask questions like, “Are those (tigers)?” to elicit, Yes, they are, or No, they aren’t. They’ll also be able to ask questions about other people such as “What is the teacher’s name?”, “What pet does Jenny have?”, etc. 5. Students will be able to ask yes/no questions to identify animals and objects in the classroom.

UNIT 3: COLORS EVERYWHERE INDICATORS 1. Students will be able to identify and name colors. They’ll ask “What color is it?” showing something with a specific color, to elicit, “It’s (green, yellow, black, blue, red, purple, brown, gray, orange, pink). 2. Students will be able to ask questions about classroom objects and their respective colors: they’ll ask “What color is the sharpener?” to elicit, “It’s (blue). “What color are they?” to elicit, “They´re (blue). 3. Students will be able to ask questions about certain animals and their colors. They’ll ask “What color is the fish?” to elicit, “It’s (orange).


Second Grade . UNIT 1: COOL CLOTHES INDICATORS 1. Students will be able to talk about clothes. They’ll say “This is her skirt”, “That is his shirt”. 2. They’ll be able to use demonstrative adjectives to describe clothing items and their colors,: they’ll say “These scarves are green”, “Those coats are gray”. 3. Students will be able to give and receive objects: they’ll say, “Sam, this is your notebook”, to elicit “Yes, it is. Thanks!”, and reply, “You’re welcome”. UNIT 2: MOVE YOUR BODY INDICATORS 1. Students will be able to identify and name the parts of the body. ( head, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, arms, legs, hands, 2.) 2. Students will be able to describe people’s hair and eyes color, they’ll say “She has brown eyes and blond hair”, “He has blue eyes and short black hair. They’ll also use possessive adjectives to describe hair and eyes color: they’ll say “His eyes are green and his hair is brown”. 3. Students will be able to give and understand orders. They’ll say “Don’t do that!”, “Wash your face”, “Don’t shout”, etc. UNIT 3: THE CIRCUS INDICATORS 1. Students will be able to name the people who work on a circus. ( clown, magician, juggler, 2) 2. They’ll be able to say what people are doing using the present continuous. They’ll say, “He’s running”, “She’s swimming”, “I’m eating”, “She’s reading”. 3. Students will be able to identify shapes (a square, a circle, a triangle, a rectangle)


Third Grade

UNIT 1: SCHOOL SUBJECTS INDICATORS 1. Students will be able to talk about school subjects and say which ones they prefer; they’ll say, “I like math. My friend doesn’t like math”, “I don’t like geography. My friend likes geography”. 2. Students will be able to use the present simple to talk about the activities they do at school; they’ll say “We have math on Thursday and we have art, too”. 3. Students will be able to ask questions about school activities and preferences; they’ll say “Do Nick and Julia have the same schedule?”, “Does Julie like art?” 4. Students will be able to write an email to a friend giving personal information and expressing preferences.

UNIT 2: OUR ROUTINES INDICATORS 1. Students will be able to use the present simple to talk about their daily routines, they’ll say: “I get up at six o’clock”, “I have breakfast at seven o’clock”. 2. Students will be able to talk about other people’s daily routines. They’ll say: “Tessa gets up at six o’clock”, “She takes a shower at six-thirty”. 3. Students will be able to ask people about their daily routines, they’ll say “What time do you get up?”, “What y time do you breakfast?”

UNIT 3: ZOO ANIMALS INDICATORS 1. Students will be able to identify zoo animals and they will be able to say what animals can do. They’ll say: “Kangaroos can hop very fast”, “This animal can climb trees”. 2. Students will learn about different animal facts.


Fourth Grade UNIT 1: FUN PARK INDICATORS 5. Students will be able to talk about the activities which take place at a fair. They’ll say: “Hoop and Yot can make toys”, “Fizzy can play the drums” 6. Students will be able to ask questions about abilities. They’ll say: “Can Frinkles do magic tricks?”, “Can you fix cars?”, “Who can tell jokes in your class?”, “What sports can you play?” 7. Students will be able to apologize by saying “I’m sorry”, “Please forgive me”. They’ll be able to reply to apologies by saying: “That’s all right”, “Don’t worry about it”.

UNIT 2: SPORTS STUFF INDICATORS 4. Students will be able to offer help by saying: “let me help you”. 5. Students will be able to talk about possession using have and has. They’ll say: “Jim has a baseball”, “Sally and Lulu have helmets”, “Susan doesn’t have a racket”. Vocabulary: sports equipment, bat, flippers, Frisbee, gloves, goggles, helmet, jump rope, knee pads, racket, towel.

UNIT 3: CITY PLACES INDICATORS 1. Students will be able to identify places in a city or town. ( bakery, bank, bookstore, candy store, drugstore, school, hospital, movie theater, museum, pet shop, police station, toy store ) 2. They’ll be able to give advice by saying: “Why don’t you go to the doctor?” as they reply to a possible problem such as, “My stomach hurts”. 3. Students will be able to say where people were at a determined time. They’ll say: “Emma was at the supermarket on Thursday”, “Toc wasn’t at the toy store”. 4. They’ll be able to ask about people’s location. They’ll say: “Where were you trhis morning?”, “Where were your parents on Sunday morning?”


Fifth Grade UNIT 1: INDOORS AND OUTDOORS INDICATORS 1. Students will use phrases and short exchanges used in indoors and outdoors activities. ( going to parties, having picnics, sightseeing, reading, taking walks, climbing, chatting, skateboarding,2.) 2. Students will practice ways of expressing likes and dislikes such as: Do you like eating? - Yes, I do / No, I don´t. 3. Students will use Do-Does / Don´t-Doesn´t + infinitive to talk about simple present. 4. Students will be able to ask questions, e.g. Are you drawing? 5. Students will be able to give affirmative and negative information using present continuous, e.g. I am watching TV / I am not reading a book.

UNIT 2: YOU DID WHAT? INDICATORS 1. Students will be able to use language used for telling the time, e.g. “What time is it? – It´s half past ten”. 2. Students will be able to complete sentences and give positive or negative information related to occupations, e.g. A reporter gives the news – Was Thomas Alva Edison an Inventor/Scientist? – Yes, he was – No, he wasn´t. 3. Students will be able to use the past to talk about past activities using time expressions such as: Last Saturday, my team won the game – We had a party at John’s house. 4. They’ll be able to ask questions about actions in the past using time expressions e.g., Sara ate breakfast at eight o´clock. – Emilio bought a bike on Monday Vocabulary: musician, chef, reporter, waiter, plumber, janitor, scientist, photographer, electrician)

UNIT 3: IT´S GOING TO RAIN INDICATORS 1. Students will be able to write words and verbs with the correct spelling. 2. They’ll be able to write the meaning and the past tense of the verbs, and use the verb in a sample sentence. 3. Students will use phrases and short exchanges used to describe the weather conditions.(storm, wind, snowy, fog, cold, hot, rainy, cloudy, sunny) 4. Students will be able to complete and create sentences using “be + going to”. 5. They’ll be able to ask questions about actions in the past using time expressions e.g., Yesterday we woke up early. It was a big day! – They cut the grass and had a picnic on Monday


SIXTH GRADE UNIT 1: OUR AMAZING BODY INDICATORS 1. Students will be able to use expressions to talk about their body. ( bones, brain, intestines, kidneys, liver, lungs, muscles, skin, stomach ) 2. They’ll be able to ask and give personal information related to daily routines. 3. Students will be able to describe people and /or their activities.

UNIT 2: THINK GREEN INDICATORS 1. Students will practice expressions for asking about general facts. 2. Students will be able to give advice. 3. Students will be able to use indefinite pronouns. Vocabulary: paleontologist, fossil, omnivore, carnivore, herbivore,2)

UNIT 3: BOOKS, BOOKS, BOOKS INDICATORS 1. Students will be able to know about the different literary genres: biography, comedy, comic, fable, fairy tale, horror, mystery, myth, romance, science fiction. 2. Students will use the expressions “ be good at / bad at ” to talk about talents or skill. 3. Students will express their opinions using: I think, I agree, I think so, You are right, I disagree, I don´t think so. 4. Students will read, write, listen and speak using Past Tense with regular and irregular verbs.
