IDEA DESCRIPTION MOODBOARD To

create a party collection for Vila first I defined a direction I wanted to go with by keeping in mind the Vila customer, upcoming trends and my own vision that would be both unique and individual but commercial enough to be acceptable by a wider audience.

Since I am particulary interested in visual art I wanted to include my own artworks in the designs to give a signature look to the collection.

The moodboard on the left gives the first impression of the collection and describes the inspiration sources such as line drawings

by Matisse and Picasso’s ceramics; textures and colours of other conteporary artworks. The elegant, timeless and wearable dresses by designer Valentine Schlee were an inspiration for the silhouettes and flowy fabrics.

MATERIALS AND COLOURS The

materials used for this collection are versatile enough to provide the wearer a selection of garments that can be either dressed up for a cocktail party or just as easy be worn as everyday outfits.

The fabrics include soft and slightly shiny viscose materials, sheer polyester and lightweight velvet fabrics that are functional for colder weather and also give an elevated and chic look to the wearer. These fabrics are a must for every modern woman and are both classy and stylish.

The colours include soft beige pastels, faded blues and accents of more bold shades that are used in the prints.

The overall feel of the collection is feminine, romantic, artistic and a little nostalgic.
