Art of Drama Camp
6-12 YRS.
Through class discussions and readings, campers will engage in acting. They will apply these exercises to pieces of text that they will memorize and perform in front of their peers with feedback from the teacher. Campers will enhance their imagination, observation and concentration skills. There will be some text memorization, class rehearsal with peers, and/or practicing at home. No previous acting experience is necessary. NO CLASS: 7/4

Children’s Reader’s Theatre!
8-12 YRS.
Start reading and performing several plays on the first day of camp! Then read several more throughout the week! Create simple scenery and costumes. On the final day of camp, kids will perform two of their favorite plays. Chosen plays will be silly, serious, interesting, and thoughtful. Reader’s Theatre is fun and engaging. There’s little need to memorize a script, because the focus of camp is ready-made performing! Kids get to start acting and speaking on the first day of camp! Throughout the week kids will also play improvisation, theater, and group games. Materials

Peninsula Youth Theater
9-12 YRS.
Join us for a summer of fun making a play for family and friends to enjoy! Peninsula Youth Theatre’s award-winning two-week summer camps will help your young thespian learn all about what goes into a show. Campers not only act, but also design and construct the sets, props, and costumes. With an emphasis on teamwork and collaboration, your student will have a blast! Both Fridays of camp will take place at Wildwood Park. Camps perform at 6:30 pm on the final Friday at Wildwood Park. NO CLASS: 7/4

Join West Valley Youth Theater (WVYT) for summer productions of The Lightening Thief and Rent! Everyone registered will be cast. Rehearsals will begin in May, 3-5 times per week, with performances in July. An additional costume rental fee of $100 will be charged. THE LIGHTNING THIEF The half-blood son of a Greek god, Percy Jackson, has newly-discovered powers he can’t control, a destiny he doesn’t want, and a mythology textbook’s worth of monsters on his trail. This musical is like “Harry Potter meets Dear Evan Hansen” with a thrilling original rock score! For students aged 9 to 15.

RENT La Vie Boheme! Set in the East Village of New York City, Rent School Edition is about falling in love, finding your voice and living for today. Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, it has become a pop cultural phenomenon with songs that rock and a story that resonates with audiences of all ages. For students aged 14 (completed 1 year of high school) to 19.
