BACKGROUND The John C. Anderson Apartments opened in January of 2014. However, the work that lead to its fruition really began quite earlier. Mark Segal, President of Dr. Magnus Hirschfeld Fund (dmhFund) and longtime LGBT advocate, began studying the needs of local LGBT seniors in 1998.
