Each class, your child will receive wave after wave of materials they'll love like blocks, bricks, and other handson pieces. The waves of building are structured like a game, with energetic music and visuals elevating the experience for maximum engagement. Each wave, they build, then disassemble. Build, disassemble. Repeat. It's an opportunity for your child to discover their creativity again and again, but it's also an opportunity for them to fail without judgment. Builds will fall down. Friends will be reluctant to share. We guide your child through these moments of frustration and equip them with strategies to adapt. To them, they're playing an outrageously fun game, but they're also learning fundamental skills they'll carry forever. Learn more at www.buildwave.com.

Forever Fit—Free Wellness Program sponsored by the Dana Home Foundation | No Registration Fee
Being out of shape can mean different things at different ages. As we age, muscle loss accelerates. We begin to notice that “we can’t do what we used to do” easily.
Difficulty bending, walking upstairs, carrying groceries, weight gain, overall fatigue, or just slowing down are some of the signs that may indicate the need to build muscle and incorporate heart healthy exercises into our daily life. The Forever Fit Program will teach you how to develop strength, increase flexibility, improve balance and agility, build up endurance and reduce stress. There are three components to this program: individual assessments with the instructor, group instruction 2 times a week, and when necessary, personal training sessions offered by our fitness expert, Judy Whitney.
Classes will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays at 2:25pm. We use a variety of fitness disciplines and provide exercise modifications to empower you to succeed at your appropriate fitness level because getting back in shape can happen at any age!
The Forever Fit Info Meeting will be held on Monday, January 12th at 2:45pm in room 006 at the Community Center. Pre-registration is required to attend this meeting.
*Preference will be given to Lexington Residents; non-residents may register if space allows.

OsteofitnessTM with Beverley Ikier and Kerri Powers | $480 Resident • $490 Non-Resident

Osteofitness™: Evidence-Based Strength for Your Bones, Balance, and Independence. Osteofitness™ isn't just another exercise class — it's a research-backed, holistic program designed specifically to prevent and treat osteoporosis. Built on decades of data, including the groundbreaking work of Dr. Miriam Nelson ("Strong Women Stay Young"), Osteofitness™ follows the proven formula: strength training at least twice per week is essential to increase bone mineral density and reduce fracture risk. Anything less simply doesn't produce the physiological changes your bones need.
Why It Works:
• Strength training twice weekly has been shown in clinical studies to significantly improve bone density, especially in vulnerable sites like the hips, spine, and wrists — the most common locations for osteoporotic fractures.
• Regular drills improve balance and coordination, key to fall prevention, which is critical since one fracture can lead to longterm loss of independence or even increase mortality risk.
• Guided by certified trainers with expertise in aging and bone health, participants build strength safely with joint-friendly movements adapted for all fitness levels.
What You'll Get:
• Progressive exercises tailored to stimulate bone growth and improve muscle strength, balance, and posture
• Integrated education on nutrition for bone building
• Stress management techniques, essential for lowering cortisol (a hormone that can actively inhibit bone formation
Personalized support, including:
• A free 20-minute consultation to review your bone scan
• Email coaching throughout the session
• Bone-healthy monthly recipes and educational newsletters
• Access to exclusive instructional videos and bonus materials
Led by:
• Beverley Ikier, CPT, BCTMB — developer of the Osteofitness™ method with over 20 years of experience, trained under Dr. Miriam Nelson
• Kerri Powers, owner of Fitness Together Lexington, bringing deep knowledge and hands-on coaching to every session
Program Format:
Osteofitness™ is only available as a 12-week program, 24 classes, with an addition of two videos. This structure reflects our commitment to your long-term health and outcomes because meaningful change requires consistency.
