Become a hero and embark on a daring adventure in Dungeons & Dragons, the world’s oldest and best role playing game! Trouble is brewing in the small hamlet of Pellaford: a messenger carrying an important item has gone missing and strange mishaps have begun to plague the town. Looking for ways to expand your child's creativity? When things don't go their way, can they adapt? Buildwave® is a STEAM/ SEL course that helps your child discover their creativity and resilience. During each class, your child will receive wave after wave of materials they'll love like blocks, bricks, and other hands-on pieces. The waves of building are structured like a game, with energetic music and visuals elevating the experience for maximum engagement. Each wave, they build, then disassemble. Build, disassemble. Repeat. It's an opportunity for your child to discover their creativity again and again, but it's also an opportunity for them to fail without judgment. Builds will fall down. Friends will be reluctant to share. We guide your child through these moments of frustration and equip them with strategies to adapt. To them, they're playing an outrageously fun game, but they're also learning fundamental skills they'll carry forever. Learn more at www.buildwave.com.

For our upcoming Daoyin education course, we have integrated the ancient Daoyin techniques with modern medical science, creating a unique program designed by Dr. Jing Liu, Ph.D., an esteemed integrative medical doctor in China. Daoyin Meditation will include stretching exercises primarily focusing on circular and spiral motions, aiming to improve energy, blood circulation, and overall physical function. Each class will bring you significant health benefits. In addition, Dr. Jing Liu has developed a unique branch of Daoyin exercise, Brain Health Movement, and has been applying the exercise for seniors with certain brain/neurological disorders, including depression, anxiety and early stages of dementia and Parkinson’s disease, and shows potential benefits for their brain and neurological health, including cognition, balance, and psycho-emotional health as well as physical coordination. This program is supported by a grant from the Dana Home Foundation.
Community Center 006 - Fitness Studio
In this class we will have fun while increasing our strength, bone health, balance, flexibility, and cardiovascular fitness. While listening to music, we will combine elements of muscle conditioning, functional movement for everyday activities, and intervals of cardio along with Yoga and Pilates postures. Correct form is stressed, and there is a focus on activating the proper muscles for each exercise. We will be doing some exercises standing and some while on the floor, and will incorporate weights and other forms of resistance. The end of each class will include stretching and relaxation. Carolyn has been a group fitness instructor for 20 years and a personal trainer for over 12 years. You may recognize her from the Boston Sports Club in Lexington.
Pilates focuses on our core, which is everything from mid-thigh to shoulders, front and back, not just “abs”. This class will typically start with a few standing exercises that use core muscles and balance, then the majority of the class will be done on mats (please bring your own). We will include optional light weights, small balls, and resistance bands to add an element of muscle conditioning while also focusing on lengthening and stretching our whole bodies. Proper form and awareness of working muscles is stressed. Please note, this class will include work on your backs, sides, face down and hands and knees. Class will be taught in person by Carolyn Gregoire.

OsteofitnessTM with Beverley Ikier and Kerri Powers | $460 Resident • $470 Non-Resident
Osteofitness™: Evidence-Based Strength for Your Bones, Balance, and Independence
Osteofitness™ isn't just another exercise class — it's a researchbacked, holistic program designed specifically to prevent and treat osteoporosis. Built on decades of data, including the groundbreaking work of Dr. Miriam Nelson ("Strong Women Stay Young"), Osteofitness™ follows the proven formula: strength training at least twice per week is essential to increase bone mineral density and reduce fracture risk. Anything less simply doesn't produce the physiological changes your bones need.
Why It Works:
• Strength training twice weekly has been shown in clinical studies to significantly improve bone density, especially in vulnerable sites like the hips, spine, and wrists — the most common locations for osteoporotic fractures.
• Regular drills improve balance and coordination, key to fall prevention, which is critical since one fracture can lead to long-term loss of independence or even increase mortality risk.
• Guided by certified trainers with expertise in aging and bone health, participants build strength safely with joint-friendly movements adapted for all fitness levels.
• Progressive exercises tailored to stimulate bone growth and improve muscle strength, balance, and posture
• Integrated education on nutrition for bone building
• Stress management techniques, essential for lowering cortisol (a hormone that can actively inhibit bone formation)
• Personalized support, including:
• A free 20-minute consultation to review your bone scan
• Email coaching throughout the session
• Bone-healthy monthly recipes and educational newsletters
• Access to exclusive instructional videos and bonus materials
Led by: Beverley Ikier, CPT, BCTMB — developer of the Osteofitness™ method with over 20 years of experience, trained under Dr. Miriam Nelson
• Kerri Powers, owner of Fitness Together Lexington, bringing deep knowledge and hands-on coaching to every session
Program Format: Osteofitness™ is only available as a 12-week program, 24 classes, with an addition of two videos. This structure reflects our commitment to your long-term health and outcomes because meaningful change requires consistency.
