Lewis-Manning Hospice is a charity in Poole, Dorset, that offers free specialist palliative nursing care to around 650 local people living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. The hospice promotes acceptance, hope and peace of mind in a safe and calming environment, helping people live well through their illness and beyond.
It aims to ensure that local people are given access to the support they may need to help them cope with their illness and the changes it may bring.
The hospice moved into a brand new state of the art facility last year and benefits from stunning views of Poole Harbour. Since 2012 it now operates an expanded day hospice (including physiotherapy, creative arts, aromatherapy and other holistic treatments), breathlessness clinic and lymphoedema clinic, and is making preparations to begin opening the in-patient department later this year.
