Leuven University Press was established in 1971 under the auspices of Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. Today the press has over a thousand books in print, in fields including art, architecture, music, religion, philosophy, history, medieval studies, anthropology, psychology, politics, and culture. We publish approximately forty new titles a year by authors from all over the world. About half of our books are in English and/or combined European languages (French, German, Italian). The remaining volumes are in Dutch.
Publishing with Leuven University Press Leuven University Press offers a professional approach with personal attention, maximum visibility of your work, and international availability. All titles are submitted to peer review in order to assess and maintain international academic standards. In order to reach a large academic audience, Leuven University Press uses an international distribution network of library suppliers and bookshops. In the usa and Canada all English language titles are distributed, promoted and sold through Cornell University Press. In the uk, Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland we are presented by University Presses Marketing and distributed by nbn International.
