Singapore is unlike anywhere in Asia. A truly modern country that is also often referred to as the garden of Asia. Singapore is full of immense colours, and as a colour enthusiast I thought it was only fitting to put together a colourful guide to Singapore.

Colourful hidden gems

Peranakan Houses in Katong

Katong is a residential area with colourful shop houses and quirky colonial buildings. Live like a local by walking through colourful buildings, sample food, like spicy laksa noodles and explore all the quirky local houses and shops. If you want to visit the Peranakan Houses specifically, then head to Joo Chiat Road. Please note that these are actually people’ s houses!

Gardens By The Bay

This awe inspired garden is THE GREEN PLACE to visit. With three gardens, a rooftop walkway, two domes and more plants than you could ever conceive, the Gardens by the Bay is not to be missed. Don’ t miss the night- time light show!

Haji Lane

From quirky cafes, to independent boutiques, Haji Lane is AMAZING. With so many eateries to choose from, you will be spoilt for lunch options. There are so many murals in the lane and all the shops have quirky themes.

Little India

Possibly my favourite place from our whole Singaporean trip, immerse yourself in this vibrant district with traditional eateries, temples, flower garland vendors and spice shops. Don’ t miss the House of Tan Teng Niah, the colourful insta- worthy building.
