As you all know we have launched a new Brunch Co 21 Master Franchise SharePoint since the beginning of the year 2023.
Why did we move across to Sharepoint?
1. Security. We have introduced multi factor authentication, making the cloud based environment more secure for information sharing
2. Standardisation. We can have continuity in how we work across the markets
3. Consolidation. All the information from different departments is in the same area and on the same platform (marketing materials, recipes, financial reports)
4. File tracking. Different versions of files can be managed more fluidly
5. Productivity. Having everything in one place will mean less emails, direct collaboration with key stakeholders and automated approval flows for F&B and marketing

Consumers are willing to pay higher prices for brands versus private labels because they trust brands. Brands earn consumer trust by consistently delivering on the value promise to consumers on product service and less tangible brand promises.
The most important brands can do to earn that trust is to be consistent. While we all align around the same values and brand standards, not all designers, marketing agencies and communication experts understand all small nuances of our brand DNA.
In order to help you keep your communication on brand, consistent and in line with standards, we are asking you to submit your brand materials. On the below pages you find where exactly to submit the materials on the corporate sharepoint.
As of 1/1/2023 all markets are required to submit every piece of marketing collateral for approval by Brand. This includes everything:
- Print: all POS materials (e.g. A frames and flyers)
- Digital: all social, photo video, blog posts, etc.
- Labels and Packaging (e.g. white label retail items, local packaging, etc.)
We request this approval to be able to ensure a global brand that has a visual identity that is consistent and recognisable everywhere in the world.
Next to the approval of materials provided by the franchisee, you can also request design work from HQ.
This manual will tell you:
1. how to submit a request
2. how to get notice of approvals and / or requests to rework
The brand team commits to answer all requests within 7 working days (typically each Thursday of the week). The team also commits to delivering a first design within 10 working days.

HOW TO SUBMIT NEW MARKETING COLLATERAL?
1. LOG IN TO YOUR COUNTRY FRANCHISE PORTAL/SHAREPOINT: https://brunchco21.sharepoint.com/sites/JP
2. OPEN THE LIBRARY “MARKETING”
3. SELECT THE RELEVANT FOLDER
- Packaging: for all new packaging designs (e.g. bread bags, paper bags, product labels, labels for white label retail items and co-branded retail items, etc.)
- Marketing Collateral: for everything else
4. CLICK “NEW” AND CHOSE THE TEMPLATE ‘DESIGN_REQUEST_TEMPLATE’ FILE. FILL IN THIS FORM WITH ALL THE REQUIRED INFORMATION (LIKE COPY, FORMAT, LOGO, DESTINATION, ETC.)
The file will now open in a new tab.
Change the title of the document by clicking on the arrow in the left-hand corner. Just replace the word ‘Book’ with the new file name (for e.g. label request)
Going back to the SharePoint page you will see that the file now has been uploaded.
o Select the file
o Click on the 3 dots
o Then click on “Approve File”
Without this step your file will not be send for approval
A pop-up will be shown to confirm your successful upload.
6. AS OF NOW, YOUR DOCUMENT IS SENT TO THE BRAND TEAM FOR APPROVAL.
• Within 7 working days, the team will change the status from pending to approved or rejected.
• If a design request is rejected, you will find comments or a motivation why the document is rejected.
• If the request is approved, the design team will start designing and a first design will be shared within 10 working days.
• You will also find the final design in the same folder.

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR F&B APPROVAL?

4. DEPENDING ON WHAT YOU WANT TO GET APPROVED
Let´s take a Menu for example:
Click ¨New¨ and chose the template Menu Summary template fill in this form with all the required information, it will make the approval process go much quicker.
THE FILE WILL NOW OPEN IN A NEW TAB.
Change the title of the document by clicking on the arrow in the left-hand corner. Just replace the word ‘Book’ with the new file name (for e.g. Menu Summary Summer 2023)
Going back to the SharePoint page (close Excel tab to go back to the previous one) you will see that the file now has been saved with the new name. It might take a minute for the file name to update. “Refresh” the page if it doesn’t do so automatically.
5. DON’T FORGET ! TO SUBMIT A FILE FOR APPROVAL:CLICK “NEW” AND CHOSE THE TEMPLATE MENU_SUMMARY_TEMPLATE. FILL IN THIS FORM WITH ALL THE REQUIRED INFORMATION, IT WILL MAKE THE APPROVAL PROCESS GO MUCH QUICKER.
o Select the file
o Click on the 3 dots
o Then click on “Approve File
Without this step your file will not be sent out for approval
A pop-up will be shown to confirm your successful upload.
AS OF NOW, YOUR DOCUMENT IS SENT TO THE F&B TEAM FOR APPROVAL.
WITHIN 30 WORKING DAYS, THE TEAM WILL CHANGE THE STATUS FROM PENDING TO APPROVED OR REJECTED. IF A REQUEST IS REJECTED, YOU WILL FIND COMMENTS OR A MOTIVATION WHY THE MENU/PRODUCT/ ETC. IS REJECTED.
Example of an email sent to the requester confirming the approval/rejected response with the comment:
Our store location pages are one of the most visited pages on our website. Guests want to know where they can find a bakery, if the bakery is open, which amenities we offer in each bakery, etc.
Our current pages were no longer up to date with the current market standards and that’s why we have decided to upgrade the pages for all the markets. Guests can now easily navigate and search for their bakery of choice and can immediately see if the bakery is open or closed and if they offer any delivery service.
We’ve also added a better integration of the map, the amenities (using a filter) and the possibility to add more pictures per bakery.
All the new information is still being pulled in from the correspondent Yext page.
If the location from the guest is shared, a selection of nearby restaurants in the neighbourhood will be shown.
A fix set of established amenities can be chosen in the Yext location page for each bakery (custom fields) We’ve added a new filter which gives the guests the opportunity to more easily look for restaurants who have for example outdoor seating or who offer grab&go, etc.
1. From the location detail page you can directly call the bakery or get directions (mostly used on mobile of course)
2. When you have bank holidays coming up you can add the specific hours when the bakery is closed or open.
3. The specific amenities for that bakery presented with an icon.
4. Call-to-actions to our menu and different order platforms
5. An integrated google map which shows other Le Pain Quotidien bakeries in the neighbourhood (if any)

Results: The gap in number of transactions vs 2019 between Antwerp and the other regions decreases after launch of the two waves of the marketing campaign. Compared to the other regions, Antwerp had in the 24 weeks of the POST period analysis an additional EBITDA of 108k€ or 123,3% of the campaign cost.

We like this food chain a LOT, so it was nice to find one near the Harry Potter Store. We brought our Ukrainian refugee cousins here and really enjoyed our meals. They were pleasantly surprised to find tomato pepper jam on the breakfast sandwich. The food was great, the staff was great, and the restaurant was very clean. I will eat here again!
