Located on 65th Street and Lexington Avenue, Saint Vincent Ferrer High School is a small school serving 500 students. It provides a challenging and supportive environment that cultivates intellectual, spiritual, and moral values. The school offers 7 AP classes, two study abroad trips per year, and many sports which can be played either in the school gym or in nearby Central Park. SVF has a strong commitment to science education and offers a 3-year pre-Med program that includes internships at Rockefeller Institute, Columbia Presbyterian and other major hospitals. This is a TACHS school. You do not have to be Catholic to attend. Tuition is about $11,000. Financial aid is available. Special Features The Ferrer Scholars Program meets the needs of intellectually gifted students. Scholars are required to take Honors or AP level courses in English, Math and Science and 2 years of Latin. Scholars will receive a merit scholarship valued at 67% of the current tuition, renewable for four years. In addition to Latin, Spanish and French are offered through AP level. Clubs include National Arts Honor Society, Anime Club, Cheerleading, Debate, French Club, Spanish Newspaper, English Newspaper, Student Council, Science and Technology Club. There are dances, mixers and other social activities with boys schools. Its location makes it extremely convenient to the F train stop on 63rd Street and Lexington. 83
