F.A.B Market was a group project to devise an urban design strategy of a site of approximately 2 hectacres whithin the Fabric District, Liverpool. The brief stated that ‘The purpose of this strategy is to provide a coherent, structured composition of design ideas that will be a catalyst for the reinvigoration of this area as well as responding to the global climate emergency.’

The work shown is my contribution to the strategy.

FAB Studios was a design project linking to the previous Urban Design module, FAB Market. The brief was to design a photography studio within an existing building plus a new build element that infills a gap within he urban context. A developed theme had to be shown from the Urban Design project as a way to develop the area. I developed my theme by promoting the use of rooftops as areas to form as a form of Urban agriculture.

Crafted object + Workshop

Skills:

Design skills that can pass through to any type of work Quick and effective hand drawn design work

Trebuchet model and technical drawings

The crafted object and workshop design module was to create a crafted object of our choice and design a workshop in which the object would be made. The object I chose was a medieval trebuchet. The design of my workshop consisted of curvatures that mimicked the trajectories of the swing of the trebuchets arm.
