Narumi’s Eggshell
Project unveiled Narumi has been working tirelessly on a new project which uses eggshells to replace 15 per cent of the conventional bone china raw materials. The project has proven so successful that Narumi is now using eggshells in its collections. We shine a light on this new way of producing tableware… The Eggshell Project explained… Narumi Corporation’s Eggshell Project is driven by a desire to “protect the dining tables of the future” and aims for environmentally conscious, sustainable manufacturing. This initiative began with the goal of effectively utilising eggshells, a resource that had not been sufficiently leveraged by other industries, thereby contributing to the efficient use

In short, users gain the value of indirectly contributing to environmental conservation simply by continuing to use this high-quality tableware. Furthermore, although eggshells are used, the new
