For 40 years and following his parents who were antique dealers and collectors based in both Paris and Los Angeles, Anthony JP Meyer has been working hard and tenaciously from his Parisian gallery to promote the ancient arts of the island cultures of Oceania. In 2010 he added a department specializing in the ancient art of the Eskimo cultures of the Arctic Circle – a private passion for over 30 years. Today, after publishing in 1995 a landmark book on Oceanic art and many thematic catalogues Anthony JP Meyer is engaged in other book projects, while continuing his work as an antique dealer, providing collectors and institutions with Oceanic & Eskimo works of art of the highest quality and rarity.

Stéphane Corréard and Hervé Loevenbruck Hervé Loevenbruck opened his gallery in 2001 just after Stéphane Corréard closed his. We could describe it as passing the relay and indeed the two men know each other well and share the same history of art. In February 2019, these two self-taught artists, trained through internships in professional experiences, decided to work together and open a joint gallery : Loeve&Co. A second space for Hervé Loevenbruck, who now manages several independant domaines in addition to his activities as a contemporary art gallery owner, but above all it is an independent project that works to rewrite a page of French art. For Stéphane Corréard, well-known as a journalist, curator and also founder of the art fair Galeriste, it is a matter of being an operational art-critic and following in the footsteps of Pierre Restany or Bernard Lamarche-Vadel. Offering with his Galerie Météo, founded in 1992 much more than simply theoretical support, he has provided logistical and financial support to a whole generation of artists from Philippe Ramette to Ghada Amer - he learned from this experience the need to create context, to carry out his own projects and how to do so. Marie-Hélène de La Forest Divonne Founded in 1988 by Marie-Hélène de La Forest Divonne, the Galerie Vieille du Temple became Galerie La Forest Divonne in 2015, when it moved to the rue des Beaux-Arts. Marie-Hélène opened a second space, run by her son Jean de Malherbe, in Brussels in 2016. The two generations of gallery owners defend an independent line of international artists, putting continuity and quality at the forefront of their choices.

CURRENT EVENT The Galerie La Forest Divonne exhibits a new photographic series by the duo Elsa & Johanna from 3 November to 23 December 2021 in Paris.

The public will discover an exclusive series, called «Palace Odyssée». These photographs have been taken during a «carte blanche» at the Palais de la découverte. Elsa & Johanna appropriated the place for many weeks making the rooms of the Palais de la découverte their dream and exploration fields.

An exhibition that places itself in a rich season for both of the photographers whose first solo exhibition in a museum «The Plural Life of Identity» will stand at the Städtlische Galerie in Karlsruhe in Germany, from november 2021 to february 2022, with the release of their first photobook «Beyond the Shadows».

MR.DJUB lives and works in Paris (France). He realizes his first collafes in 1983. Claude Roffat, creator of the referencial catalog of singular and brut art L’Oeuf sauvage, exhibit the artist in his gallery «Pleine Marge» at the end of the 1980s. During almost 20 years, the collages of MR. DJUB are a secret garden, we find them from time to time on Paris walls, as show poster’s illustrations, books or as sets under circus tent. From 2010, MR. DJUB makes his collage technique more complex, deciding to only create with the help of «ancient papers» – prints printed between 1840 and 1890 that have been edited as part of popular publication about art, culture, politic and news. In search of the truth of a weakened and generally hard to keep paper, his creations reject the gestures - as reprography, colours bancing, ink highlighting - other than the ones suggested by a pair of scissors and a scalpel. MR.DJUB is also in Djubaka, a musical programmer on France Inter, and the half of the activists duo Anne & Julien, founders of the project HEY!

Benoit Sapiro The Galerie Le Minotaure, created in 2002, is located on rue des Beaux-Arts, at the former address of the famous bookshop of which it has retained its name. Founder Benoit Sapiro, is passionate about Russian and Central European artists of the first half of the 20th century. The intense and passionate work carried onwards by Benoit Sapiro for over 20 years is undeniably part of the explosion of interest in the Russian art market and in the rediscovery of artists from Russia or Eastern countries, who were disregarded in the first half of the 20th century.

CURRENT EVENT Joseph Dadoune, INCARNASION The gallery Le Minotaure joins the gallery Alain Le Gaillard to offer us a solo exhibition of the frenchisraeli Yoseph Joseph Yaakov Dadoune, «INCARNASION» - a 20 photographs cycle realised in 2006 and never shown to the public that will be going hand in hand with the «Sion» project. This project comprises two movies produced in collaboration with the Louvre Museum in Paris. Joseph Dadoune is the first french-israeli producer to collaborate with the Louvre Museum, allowing him to shoot «Sion» inside.

The artist draws on Jewish writing, christianism and the history of ancient and contemporary art. By explaining the story of Sion, his movie explores a poetry of pain; he talks about redemption, exil and revival. The double nationality of Dadoune places him at the border between the Eastern and the Western. His personality commits him to work on the gender, sexuality, eurocentrism, anticolonialism and multiculturalism issues. Between these two seemingly distant poles, the artist questions History, the source of myths and poetry.

The exhibition will be going hand in hand with a catalog with a preface by Ariel Schweitzer, cinema historian and reviewer at the Cahiers du cinéma. The publication will also contain an exclusive interview of Ariel Schweitzer with Joseph Dadoune.

Unique in its kind in Paris and soon to be a century old - it was founded in 1933, the Librairie des Alpes is well known to mountaineers, hikers and more generally to all mountain lovers. Located at the beginning of the rue de Seine, at number 6, next to the Roger-Viollet photographic agency, a stone's throw from the Pont des Arts and the Académie Française, this little blue shop has been able to withstand the assaults of the "unlearned". From the Left Bank who, to paraphrase Alain Souchon, now come to “sell their clothes in bookstores”. For a long time, big names in mountaineering (Maurice Herzog, Gaston Rébuffat, Pierre Mazeaud, Catherine Destivelle) made it their base camp. Because it is here that the spirit of the mountain lives, on its collection of rare books, some dating from the 18th century, of topo-guides not found elsewhere, old geographical maps, original engravings, or even unusual objects. As for the photo, it obviously holds pride of place at the Librairie des Alpes. Vintage prints are permanently on display, thematic exhibitions of well-known photographers or young talents who will not wait long to become so.
