Mal is a second-year Musical Theatre student at Goldsmiths, and is thrilled to be directing her first musical here! She has cherished every moment of the creative process, creating memories she will carry for years to come! She is incredibly grateful to the cast and crew for their dedication and talent in bringing this production to life, and hopes you enjoy! Mal is deeply passionate about musical theatre and is excited to continue exploring every aspect of the industry! She can’t wait to see what her next creative opportunity might be. She hopes you enjoy the show, so sit back, relax, and get ready to Bop to the Top!! As a director, Mal’s previous musical theatre credits include Little Shop of Horrors and Legally Blonde Jr. As a performer, her theatre credits include Hamm (Endgame), Kylie (Legally Blonde), Emcee (Cabaret), Pop (We Will Rock You), and Vince Fontaine/Teen Angel (Grease).
Ashana Asomany (She/Her)
Co-Director
Ashana is a second year Goldsmiths Musical Theatre student and aspiring performer, director and writer. She trained in Street and Hip Hop at the 'Zoonation Academy of Dance' for 8 years before deciding to focus on musical theatre. Although her passion is performing, after directing and choreographing a school production of 'West end live', she developed an additional interest and enjoyment in the creative side of theatre. Being apart of the creative team this year has allowed her to explore that further and expand her knowledge of a directors role.
Ashana's recent performances include; ‘Pilar’ in last year’s society show ‘Legally Blonde’, 'Ashley' in 'The Village' - an original play performed at the Almeida Theatre and 'Judas' in a school production of 'Jesus Christ Superstar'.
‘High school musical’ will Ashana’s Goldsmith’s directing debut and she is incredibly grateful for the experience and opportunity to work with such an amazing crew and cast who she is extremely proud of.





Matthias Kelay (He/Him)
Musical Director
Matthias is a second year Goldsmiths Musical theatre Student, and is thrilled to be Musical directing his first show. Despite being an MD, Matthias has been a performer in many shows including ‘Billy Elliot’, ‘Grease’, ‘School of Rock’, ‘The Jungle Book’ and many more. Matthias is a classically trained musician in voice and flute, paired with his passion for theatre, he is ecstatic to bring the music to life. He can’t wait for everyone to enjoy the nostalgia of High School Musical with this wickedly talented cast!

Holly Gregg (She/Her)
Co-Choreographer
Holly is a Third Year Musical Theatre student here at Goldsmiths and she is originally from Northern Ireland This is Holly’s third society show, in 1st year she was apart of the Dance Ensemble for (Pippin) and last year she choreographed the society’s production of (Legally Blonde). She is currently an Assistant Dance Teacher at ‘Jack Seager School of Dance,’ and in May she will be performing in my final show at Goldsmiths, in Promenade The Musical. She wants to thank all the cast and creatives for the continued support over the last few years, and she hopes you enjoy the show! GO WILDCATS X
Gabi Anjos (She/Her)
Co-Choreographer
Gabi Anjos is a second year Musical Theatre student at Goldsmiths university, Training includes ESAEM Dance conservatory in Malaga Spain and Teenbroadway in São Paulo Brazil. She’s been in productions of Grease the musical as Frenchy, Dancer in Bring it on, Hairspray and last year was a part of the dance ensemble in Legally Blonde. This is her first show as a choreographer for the MT Society.

Troy Bolton - Adam Wagstaff (He/Him)
Adam is a performer from Wiltshire currently in his 3rd year of Musical Theatre training at Goldsmiths. During his time here, he has been lucky enough to perform in a number of shows over the last few years, including Ensemble/ Fire Player in ‘Pippin’ (Feb 2022) and Warner Huntington the 3rd in ‘Legally Blonde the Musical’ (Feb 2023.) Adam is so greatful for the opportunity to play Troy Bolton. Such an iconic role with such a nostalgic score has left him in full anticipation for months!! We only hope it will live up to expectations.

- Willow Clark (She/Her)
Willow is a 2nd year Musical Theatre student at Goldsmiths. At a young age, she performed professionally in opera and has more recently performed in many different amateur productions; some of her favourite roles she has played include Anastasia (Anastasia) and Audrey (Little Shop of Horrors). After enjoying being in the ensemble for last years mt society show (Legally Blonde) ,she feels so lucky this year to be able to bring Gabriella to life and perform with such an amazing fun talented cast. In addition to performing, willow has also enjoyed being able to use her prior experience of working on a creative team to assist with the costume design and wardrobe on this production.
Ryan Evans - Blake Charlton (He/Him)
Blake is currently a third year musical theatre student and will be playing the role Ryan Evans. It is Blake’s first show as part of the society all though he did costume design for last years show (Legally Blonde). He is very happy to be performing songs he sang as a child and hopes to bop his way to the top!

Sharpay Evans - Ruby Peters (She/Her)
Hi I'm Ruby and I'm a third year Musical Theatre student. This is my third and final society show, my previous roles include Margot in Legally Blonde (2024) and Dance Ensemble in Pippin (2023). I am very excited to perform with such an incredible cast and creative team who have made this show such a joy to be a part of! This show and this role has given me the opportunity to let loose and be completely stupid and I have adored every moment. Hope you enjoy the show :)

Chad Danforth - Lucas Carlyon (He/Him)
Lucas is a first year Musical Theatre student. He has really enjoyed his time in rehearsals playing such a fun and out-there character and is excited to perform his first show with the mt society and hopes you all love it. In the past he has performed roles such as Clyde(Bonnie and Clyde), Enjolras(Les Misérables) and Lucas(Addams Family).
Taylor McKessie - lydia Searle
Heyyy, I’m Lydia a 3rd year MT Student and i’m playing Taylor McKessie. So much love has been put into every aspect of this production, I am extremely excited to share this show with everyone. This is my second year being a part of the committee and my first year performing in the society, and I couldn’t have dreamed of a better show to be in. It’s funny, cringey and camp as hell, I hope everyone enjoys it and laughs as much as we have putting it together!!
Kelsi Neilsen - Katie Yeager (She/They)
Katie is a postgrad student studying Popular Music at Goldsmiths. She is also a queer songwriter (she wrote a song about Kelsi) and has spent over 20 years perfecting her American accent. Katie has deeply missed musical theatre and is very grateful for the team that made it so fun and welcoming.
Zeke Baylor - Isaac Li (He/They)
Hey, I’m Isaac and I’m a second year studying BA Media and Communications! I’ve taken part in musical theatre since I was 11 and I can’t wait to Zeke it up for all you wonderful people! Other notable roles I’ve had the pleasure of playing in include Jackie Elliot in “Billy Elliot”, Rudolph Reisenweber in “Hello, Dolly!”, and Professor Callahan in “Legally Blonde”.

I'm a 1st year Musical Theatre student and I've been involved in MT since I was 13 through Stagecoach Drama Club! My favourite thing about MT is being able to play both goofy yet emotional characters and scenes and sharing that energy with crowds!
Scott - Frida Tranung Ronning
Frida Tranung Rønning is a second year Musical Theatre student at Goldsmiths and a performer from Norway. She has been doing acting since she was a child and has performed in several musicals in Norway, as well as productions during her first year at Goldsmiths. This is her first time doing High school musical on stage, and she is very excited to be a part of the cast. Other musicals she has been a part of previously include: “Legally blonde”, “Annie”, “Hairspray”, “13” and “Rock’n’roll wolf”. She has found working on High school musical fun and a very nostalgic experience since this is a story she has known since she was a child. She cannot wait to show everyone her take on the character Scott.
Mrs Darbus - Emily Farrell (She/Her)
Emily Farrell is a Third Year Musical Theatre student and Goldsmiths. She has been in various Amature productions at high school such as Mary Poppins Jr as ‘Mary Poppins, Matilda Jr as ‘ Miss Trunchbull; within the Society she was also in Pippin as an Ensemble member. Last year Emily was apart of the Musical Theatre Society’s Commitee as Treasurer which was a role she loved, however is excited to perform this year. She cannot wait to show the audience the amazing sassy side Ms Darbus has.
Coach Bolton - Belle Hobbs (They/She)
Belle is a 3rd year PPS student at Goldsmiths! They are a performer, writer and director and have performed in Goldsmiths society plays for two years; including The Welkin. They performed in the Camden Fringe last year in “Transmitted”. They are excited to be part of this performance.

Nicole has been performing for over 10 years and is extremely excited to take on this years performance of high school musical. She played Serena in last years performance of legally blonde and played meatloaf in we will rock you and Margot in legally blonde before university.
Ripper - Ella Cabanillas (She/Her)
Hi, I’m Ella :) A third year Media and Communications student who is currently working on a short film as my final degree project!
Since last preforming in the musical theatres society’s Legally Blonde, I have been eager about being part of the production a second time round.
Working together and making something so special has been a dream. I can’t wait for you to see what we have been working on!
Jason - Nicholas Greenfield (He/Him)
I'm Nick and it's such a privilege for this to be my first show at Goldsmiths with incredibly talented people. I have done many shows during my secondary school days and have loved theatre ever since then. Jean Valjean in Les Mis School Edition, Gaston in Beauty and the Beast, Gomez in Addams Family and many more. Go Wildcats!!

Hello! I’m Faith Simon a first year Musical Theatre student. I love to perform and have done for years, it brings me so much joy to create and write music. Musical Theatre is something that I adore and can’t wait to continue to do forever. This is my first show at Goldsmiths and I’m ready to Bop to the top!

Shara McQueen-Hinkley (She/Her)
I’m a third year musical theatre student. I have done Pippin and Legally Blonde here as dance ensemble for the past two years. And I am very excited to be in High School Musical
Sena is a second year Musical Theatre student. She took part in a dance production called “Kadin Dans Tiyatrosu” which raised money and awareness for violence against women, which still continues today. She did an internship for a turkish netflix tv show called “Thank You Next” and got a role as an extra in (Season 2&3, Netflix). She is super excited to cheer for you all tonight. Go wildcats!
Faith Douglas (She/Her) - Brittany
Hi everyone, i’m Faith! I’m a first year doing Musical Theatre and I’m so excited to be part of the High School Musical on stage cast. I’ve had a passion for musical theatre since I was 4 and have been in many musical theatre companies since. I love performing and always will. I hope you love and enjoy the show!
Emily Lander (She/Her)
Hey!!! My name is Emily and I am in my third year studying musical theatre. This is my third year performing in the society. Last year I played Elle Woods in Legally Blonde and the year before I was a part of the ensemble in Pippin. After graduation, I hope to perform professionally and teach theatre. Enjoy the show!! DANCEENSEMBLE
Ruth Fisher (She/Her) - Roxi
Ruth Fisher is currently a second year Musical Theatre student here at Goldsmiths. Previous to her studies in London, Ruth performed in productions of “The sound of Music” and as Jenna in “Waitress” whilst also singing for charity fundraisers in her local Liverpool community. Ruth has also loved performing in class and group projects as part of her degree course. Last year, Ruth had the oppertunity to learn the unseen work of a production as a backstage hand member in the Musical Theatre society performance of Legally Blonde. Ruth is excited to dance the wildcats to victory in todays performance of High School Musical and hopes you enjoy the show!

Emelia Hollingshead (She/Her)
Hi! My names Emelia, I am currently in my 3rd year at Goldsmiths studying Musical Theatre. This is my first year performing in the Musical Theatre Society and I am so excited to be apart of the Dance Ensemble/Cheerleaders, of this production. Kratnoff - Emma Gyngell (She/Her)
Emma is a BA Musical Theatre student in her third year. Most recently, Emma played the role of Kate in the musical theatre society’s production of Legally Blonde, being one of her favourite experiences at university so far! In May, Emma is taking on the role of the Servant in her third year show: the UK premiere of Promenade.
Umayyah Ali (She/Her) - Also Thespian Solo
Umayyah is a 2nd year BA English student with an avid love for musical theatre! She is excited to be part of the production and hopes you enjoy it :)


Grace Hobson (She/Her)
Grace is a second-year Musical Theatre Student at Goldsmiths University. This is the second year she has been in the Musical Theatre Society Show (after playing Chutney in last year’s production of Legally Blonde) and has loved being able to spend time with all her friends working on this project. Grace has been in numerous choirs as well as theatre groups and school shows. Her favourite parts that she has played include: Alice in ‘Alice in Wonderland’, Ilse in ‘Spring Awaking’, Sophie in ‘Mamma Mia’ and Mary Poppins in ‘Mary Poppins’.

Over the past three years i have fiercely enjoyed my time with the Goldsmiths MT society. I have been lucky enough to play Leading Player in Pippin and Professor Callahan in Legally blonde. The fantastic performers in these shows have made every minute of my time worthy. You’re all the loveliest and stuck with me forever.
I am hugely excited for my upcoming 3rd year MT Production of Promenade, where i will be playing Prisoner 105/106. May 1st-11th @promenademusical

Bronwyn is a BA Promotional Media from Toronto and had greatly enjoyed working with all of these enthusiastic artists!! She has trained at places all over toronto and currently part time training at RADA classes in the evenings. She hasn’t participated in a musical in two years now and it’s been a nice homecoming for her. Hope you enjoy the show!

Gracie (she/her) is a second year law with politics and human rights student who has a passion for performance and theatre.
“The courtroom is just performing for old men with fancy words”. She performed in ‘The Welkin’ last year playing the role of Judith and this is her first performance with this society.
