Van Metre T Polo Cup

he star studded Van Metre Polo cup to benefit Capital Caring at Great Meadow was chaired by Dea and Beau Van Metre. The purpose of the afternoon event was to raise funds for a new inpatient center, the Adler Center for Caring, on the Van Metre Campus in Stone Ridge. With players such as the six-goal eye catching Ignacio “Nacho” Figueras, who can be seen in slick magazines and television commercials as the face of Polo Black for Ralph Lauren, the female spectators were especially interested. Other well known players included John Walsh, known for his work on children safety following the abduction and murder of his son, Adam; Outback Steakhouse co-founder Tim Gannon; and Italian businessman Salvatore Ferragamo. Add to this mix our local polo celebs: Ashley Van Metre, Juan Salinas Bentley and Beau Van Metre.
