• a coffee morning movement running for more than ten years in more than 40 locations around County Dublin • establishes Irish locally and visibly in the community • involves participants with different levels of fluency in Irish and encourages conversation practice at the preferred level • offers an opportunity for the people of Dublin city and county to speak Irish while nurturing friendships and companionship What inspired you to start the project? I am interested in any project that has as its objective the promotion of Irish in the Community!

What has been the impact of the project? Everyone who has been to school in Ireland has a certain amount of Irish. The ‘Coffee Morning Network’ gives an opportunity for people to practice their Irish and show it as a normal daily language. They now speak Irish. What would you advise someone who would like to replicate your project? If you want to do a project like this, be sure to have a clear objective in your head. Preparation is all important. And then, when you are ready, do the publicity. Contact details: Ben Mac Lochlainn and Seán Ó Coileáin www.maidineacha-caife.weebly.com
