ESSAY. Explain in 100 words or less why you want to run for the position and the key points of your platform. LeaPs has been more than an organization to me and has served as a huge avenue for growth and development that it would be wrong not to serve and give other Physics enthusiasts the same opportunity. Not to be misunderstood that I’m forced to take the position, on the contrary I’d love to and would whole-heartedly serve the organization. Project management and implementation is something I enjoy and have had a lot of experience in and I know that I can do a lot to improve LeaPs in this aspect. My platform assures: greater visibility, sustainability, innovation and integration.

PLEDGE I, Andrew T. Gawidan II, attest to the facts contained in this Certificate of Candidacy and in all other documents required by the Commission on Elections of the League of Physicists (LeaPs). I thereby give the permission to evaluate the facts contained in all the documents I have submitted to the LeaPs Commission on Elections. I swear to uphold the rules stipulated in the LeaPs Electoral Code and by the LeaPs Commission on Elections with full awareness that the violation of the said rules would result to possible sanctions as stipulated in the LeaPs Electoral Code. It is my sincere intention to promote a free, honest, and clean election.

LGU OF PHYSICISTS III. PLATFORM MAIN POINT 1: Greater Visibility (GV) Increasing the involvement and visibility of Leaps in the Ateneo community by widening our horizons. Though not directly linked to our Core Competencies, partaking in various activities such as the RiB and outreaches of various sector-based clusters will be beneficial to the organization because of its member formation aspects, and also the visibility it gives LeaPs, giving more opportunities for Physics majors and enthusiasts to show the Ateneo community that we’re capable of more than just solving equations.

MAIN POINT 2: Sustainability of Projects (SP) Proper project documentation will be key to determining which processes and recommendations should be kept and followed in future activities. By integrating better practices with comments and suggestions from past and present participants and officers throughout the years, project heads will be well-equipped to plan out and continuously improve each and every aspect of the project A general project execution guide will be made for each project which will serve as a fundamental support in the implementation of projects so those handling the projects will not get lost or stuck. MAIN POINT 3: Innovation LeaPs has consistently maintained its projects year after year. Demonstrations equipment and tasks for the Real Physics Games which have been recycled through the years are great, but maintenance is never enough. Innovation is essential to uplifting the organization and bringing it to higher levels. Theory will become reality as we cooperate with the Department to bring in more equipment and to bring in more ideas. MAIN POINT 4: Spatial Analysis and Integration To not just limit LeaPs to its past tie-ups, but to reach out even more to find more places wherein we can integrate ourselves so that we may establish ties with other organizations and surrounding communities
