MESSAGE FROM THE LCF CHAIR
On behalf of our members, our partners, our honored speakers, and the LCF Board and Secretariat, welcome to the 2023 CSR Expo!
Our theme this year, "From Extra to Essential", underscores how critical Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social, and Governance or ESG reporting are in our world today. These are not merely nice to have in our ongoing efforts amidst the pandemic and other challenges both old and new, but are MUST-HAVES. In fact, it is now mandatory for companies to report CSR activities as part of yearly submissions.

“From Extra to Essential” takes us forward from last year’s theme, “Creating the Future We Need: Striking a Path During a Period of Transition”, which was a call to action to collaborate to find CSR solutions that will effect longlasting change and impact in the Philippines. Moving from collaboration and solutions-finding to action, “From Extra to Essential” is a rallying cry that urges the full adoption of the principles of good corporate citizenship, accountability, and transparency through CSR and ESG reporting—and signposts our work moving forward.
We cannot just DO GOOD, we need to DO IT WELL in all aspects of our work—organization-and corporate-wide.
From July 4 to 7, our plenary sessions, forum, and committeeled sessions will unpack this year’s theme from different perspectives and areas of practice and specialization, in order to establish how CSR and ESG reporting can no longer be seen as merely EXTRA, but are no less than ESSENTIAL. And our Guild Awards and EXPO will exemplify shining examples of excellence in CSR.
Once again, welcome!

Sincerely yours,
Sebastian C. Quiniones, Jr.
