OUR LEAGUE STORY: THE ZERWITZ FAMILY

Judy served on The League’s Board of Directors from 2011 to 2017. She suffered from a stroke in 2014 and participated in programming at The Snyder Center for Aphasia Life Enhancement (SCALE) where she became friends with many other stroke survivors and began her recovery. Judy and Arnold have visited Camp Greentop in the Catoctin Mountains during the summer and recommend the experience to everyone. But the program that is dearest to their hearts takes place at The League on the second Saturday of every month: CLUB1111. The pair is typically assigned to the merchandise table where they delight in selling t-shirts, hats, flower crowns, and light-up jewelry to the excited club-goers. For them, CLUB1111 is a wonderful event where people of all abilities come to build lasting friendships.
