Greg and Jacob are “brothers from other mothers” and have been inseparable since the age of 2 years old Greg is extremely protective of Jacob; he helps Jacob become more articulate despite a slight stutter and even books Jacob’s mobility rides and manages transportation details for both of them to get around in the community The young men visit The Wellness Center Monday through Thursday to work out and swim laps in the heated pool as an added benefit of participating in The League's Employment Services Program Their weekends are reserved for working at Cinemark where they have been employed for the past 7 years

The friendship between Greg and Jacob has prevailed through school, volunteer work, employment at 7 different jobs, years of competitive sports, and several major surgeries “He makes me a better person,” says Greg about Jacob

Greg has over thirty awards and medals from competing in various sports such as swimming, soccer, track and field, sit-skiing, softball, and wrestling at the Special Olympics He remains humble, like his Jamaican idol Usain Bolt, and shares a love of all sports and challenges with his best friend, Jacob

Working as ushers at the movie theater in Towson provides Greg and Jacob with plenty of opportunities to meet new people and appreciate the films that bring joy to so many cinephiles They have pushed each other to be strong and independent and enjoy gaming with their PlayStation 5’s (proudly bought with their earned wages). Together, we are abl to empower individuals with disabilities as they work towards gratifying autonomy.
