The federal government is working with the insurance industry to recover about N45 billion lost to fake insurance operators nationwide on Third Party Motor Insurance Policy, LEADERSHIP findings have revealed. Accordingly, the Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC) has conclud-
ed plans to harmonise its portal with that of the insurance industry to track about N8.5 million registered vehicles with fake Third Party Motor insurance policies or without insurance paper at all in a bid to compel these motorists to get genuine insur-
ance cover. It was gathered that, while this relationship will also be extended to comprehensive motor insurance where the industry is said to be losing about N10 billion on a yearly basis, the partnership, will also be
instrumental in recovery of stolen vehicles across the country, thus reducing the spate of car theft. Third Party Vehicle Insurance comes at a fixed price of N5,000 for privately used saloons and Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs), while com-

We’ve Completely Defeated Boko Haram – Army BY SUNDAY ISUWA, Abuja
The Nigerian Army declared at the weekend that it has completely defeated the Boko Haram insurgents. The Theatre Commander of Operation Lafiya Dole, Maj-Gen Rogers Nicholas, stated this during the inauguration of the Nigeria-Cameroun Military Joint Mission in Maiduguri. He disclosed that his troops under the operation Deep Punch II last Friday dislodged and occupied the insurgents’ tactical ground, ‘Camp Zairo’. He noted that hundreds of insurgents surrendered and several others fled their enclave, while over 100 civilians were rescued.
