Experience Is Everything ®
See what some board members at our managed communities say about partnering with LCS.
LCS has been a great partner for The Forum. We have utilized their network to identify significantly better insurance rates at a challenging time. LCS helped put together a complicated package of insurance carriers to save a great deal.
In staffing crises LCS has come through with temporary leadership positions to keep things running smoothly at The Forum. We have benefited from coaching sessions to help grow our young staff and develop leaders. The mentoring program provided by seasoned healthcare leadership has been invaluable.
LCS helped design and conducted a strategic planning retreat for Board members that shaped direction for both the Board and management. We are grateful for their ability to flush out common goals. A true partnership.

I have served as a Board member at Friendship Village of Tempe (FVT) for the past 41 years and 16 years of those years as president. I am currently serving a new three year term.
Having seen firsthand how FVT has benefited by contracting with Life Care Services (LCS) for our management, my wife and I have now become residents. LCS provides the following services to FVT: finance, sales/marketing, human services, technology and project development for our past and current expansion program.
LCS has been a terrific partner and I have seen how this partnership has allowed FVT to become a premier Life Plan Community in Arizona. FVT has a long track record of financial stability and keeping our facilities and programs up to date as the marketplace has changed due to increased competition.

I have been a Resident Member of The Forum at Rancho San Antonio, an Equity owned, Life Plan, Continuing Care Senior Living Community in Cupertino, California since 2012. It was the same year that The Forum contracted with LCS, Life Care Services, Inc., to be its Management Company. Since then, the contract has been renewed twice, no small feat, as a testament to the high regard and confidence The Forum has placed in LCS as an effective and competent Management Company.
As a member of the Board of Directors of RSI, Retirement Services, Inc., for nine years and its President for seven years, I saw first-hand how LCS functioned. RSI is the Corporation that has oversight responsibilities for the Health Care Center at The Forum.
I believe LCS has forged and nurtured its successful relationship with The Forum by the way it has diligently worked together with The Forum to deliver on what matters most for the long-term financial health of the community.
At the outset, LCS facilitated a focus group of involved Forum Residents and Staff in crafting the Mission, Vision and Values that declared our reason to be. Going forward, annual Board Orientations reinforced the responsibilities and duties of Board members in strategic thinking and Management in its operation functions. Together, three-year strategic goals were identified. Management communicated

in frequent, clear, open and substantive sessions to the community on the extent to which they have achieved those strategic goals. Most significantly, the community’s high priority of financial stability, full occupancy in Independent Living, adopting and strengthening technology use and infrastructure are now on sound footing.
The Forum has benefited in many ways from LCS’s vast knowledge and expertise of the Senior Living Industry and their readiness to share them. Nowhere were these more evident than during the Covid pandemic crisis and more recently with the visits and consults from Tim Hamilton to push us over the goal line of full occupancy in Independent Living units.
Periodic visits, personal contacts and connections send meaningful messages that “I want to know you, I care about you and I’ll support you with whatever resource you need to succeed at your community.”
Jill Sorenson, Senior Vice President and Senior Director of Life Plan Communities of corporate LCS did those things during her 12-year assigned time to the Forum. If LCS continues its modus operandi in the likeness of the preceding testimonial in dealing with the next inevitable Senior living challenges, I believe it should do so with success.
