Oct 3 - Happy Potter Hour: Test your Harry Potter knowledge with trivia, games and crafting!
Oct 10 - Fun with Colour: Experiment with mixing paint colours to get the perfect shade.
Oct 17 - Fun and Games: Practice your knowledge, hand and eye coordination and memory with skill-testing activities.
Oct 24 - Halloween Fun: Make a craft and have fun with bowling and a bean bag game.
FIREFIGHTER STORYTIME - ONTARIO PUBLIC LIBRARY WEEK
Tuesday, October 17 – 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Listen to stories and learn about fire safety with Sarnia firefighter, Mike Otis. After reading, Mike will talk about what it’s like to be a firefighter, provide fire safety tips and answer questions from the audience. Ontario Public Library Week celebrates and raises awareness of the valuable role libraries play in the lives of people in Ontario.

TEEN DIY - BURLAP PUMPKINS
Tuesday, October 31 – 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Construct an autumn decor piece for your room. This project uses burlap and twine to make a beautiful pumpkin.

Monday, September 11 & October 2 – 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Sept 11 – Watercolours: Have some fun as we paint flowers together using watercolour paints and brushes.
Oct 2 – Pumpkin Centerpiece: Create a fall burlap pumpkin centerpiece for your table.

Sept 7 - 3D Hand Drawing: Read “Beautiful Hands” by Kathryn Otoshi, then trace and colour your hand in a way that makes it look 3D.
Sept 14 - Apple Stamping: Read “The Biggest Apple Ever” by Steven Kroll, then use cut apples and paint to stamp a jar-shaped page with the apple slices.
Sept 28 - Sensory Leaf Painting: Read “The Leaf Thief” by Alice Hemming, then squirt red, yellow, green and orange paint into a Ziplock bag, tape, then squish!
Oct 5 - Paper Plate Basket: Read “Ten Red Apples” by Pat Hutchins, then using a paper plate and yarn, weave a basket to place your own paper apples in.
Oct 12 - Salt Spider Web Painting: Read “The Very Busy Spider” by Eric Carle, then use glue, salt and watercolour paints to create a beautiful 3D spider web.
SATURDAY KIDS’ CLUB
Saturday, September 9, 30, October 21 & 28 –12:45 to 1:45 p.m.
Ages 5-12
Sept 9 - Recycled Bottle Art: This week we will read “The Life of a Little Plastic Bottle” by Suzanne Fossey, then reuse an old water bottle to create a unique hanging art piece.
Sept 30 - Hobbit Day: This week we will read “Who was J.R.R. Tolkien?” by Pam Pollack, then use felt and paint to create a Lórien style leaf brooch.
Oct 21- Super Saturday: Read “Be a Star, Wonder Woman!” by Michael Dahl, then we will create a superhero mask and play games.
Oct 28 - Flying Bat: Read “Bats at the Library” by Brian Lies, then using a paper plate, popsicle stick and paper we will create a bat to fly through the sky.
Build With Construction
Thursday, October 19 – 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
The challenge is to build Dracula’s castle. This program will focus on building while incorporating elements of S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics).
