Firefighter Storytimeontario Public Library Week

Listen to stories and learn about fire safety with a firefighter from St. Clair Fire Department. After reading, the firefighter will talk about what it’s like to be a firefighter, provide fire safety tips and answer questions from the audience. Ontario Public Library Week celebrates and raises awareness of the valuable role libraries play in the lives of people in Ontario.

EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS WORKSHOP –LEARNING FOR LIFE
Thursday, October 19 – 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Lambton County Archives will discuss the history of emergencies in Lambton County and the surrounding area. Local Emergency Management Coordinators will outline emergency planning principles for both families and municipalities. Participants will learn how to create their own emergency plan, assemble a 72 hour emergency supply kit, how to shelter-in-place and evacuate, and subscribe for public safety alerts. This workshop will close with a Q&A and a draw for a starter Home 72-Hour Emergency Supplies Kit, generously sponsored by Lambton BASES.
