LMH Health East Heights Family Care clinic opens “LMH Health is committed to providing improved healthcare access throughout the entire community.”
Thanks to the support of generous donors, the LMH Health East Heights Family Care clinic formally opened this fall with a community ribbon-cutting held on October 14. This new medical clinic will improve healthcare access throughout the entire community and serve the residents of East Lawrence and beyond. Largely funded through private gifts to LMH Health Foundation, the clinic is located within the Independence, Inc., building near 20th and Haskell. Over just a few short weeks in 2018, LMH Health Foundation donors answered the call to provide nearly $300,000 to support renovations and operations for the East Heights clinic. “The East Heights clinic is a perfect example of how private support can mean the difference between the maintenance of a great hospital, and the evolution of an extraordinary one,” says Rebecca Smith, executive director of LMH Health Foundation.
