Lawrence couple makes $1 million challenge gift for LMH Health’s patient-centered technology initiative Sue and Dana Anderson have made a $1 million challenge gift to LMH Health for new technology that will benefit surgical and heart patients. The Andersons hope their gift — which is one of the largest philanthropic gifts that the hospital has ever received — will spark other donors to support: • A new Mako robotic arm for performing partial and total knee replacements, as well as total hip replacements. • Two new da Vinci robotic surgical systems to replace the da Vinci

In the midst of the COVID-19 healthcare crisis, local community members are coming together to support LMH Health employees and patients. Over the past few months, LMH Health has seen an outpouring of local support, including monetary donations and supplies like masks and gloves. Jeff and Mary Weinberg, longtime Lawrence community members, recently made a generous donation to the CARE Fund at LMH Health Foundation, which provides financial support to LMH Health employees during crisis situations. The Weinbergs also provided funds to purchase a new ventilator for the hospital.
