Kansas University’s 142nd Commencement ceremony is scheduled to begin with the traditional walk down the hill by graduates at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Graduates can meet on Memorial Drive before that time. More than 4,000 students were candidates for graduation this spring, including both graduate and undergraduates, according to KU News. A total of about 7,000 students have been invited to the 2014 Commencement, a number that includes winter 2013 and summer 2014 graduates. The commencement presentation will begin at 11:30 a.m. in Memorial Stadium. Fred Logan, Kansas Board of Regents chairman, and Jeff Kennedy, national chairman of the KU Alumni Association, will present greetings, and KU Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little will give the farewell address.
