The project took approximately six weeks, with Bess and I taking turns stopping by the property to obtain status updates and provide those to the client. The exterior of the home received a fresh coat of paint, replacement of some distressed wood siding and trim-boards, landscaping in the front and back, pool repairs, and some fresh lighting. One of my very first transactions was this adorable little Tudor in Oak Cliff’s charming Elmwood neighborhood where originals, remodels, and renovated Tudors and cottages line the streets. Many of these homes date back to the 1940’s by tax records, but were built even earlier, to the 1920’s if you were to go back and look at the Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps.

Painting the brick helped to hide the gaps of mortar in the bricks that needed to be re-affixed; and with the cool modern fence, a newlypoured driveway and walkway, it brightened up the entire street.
