Bayou Theaters
Project Objective:
To design a performing arts center in New Orleans that features one large theater, two medium theaters, three small theaters, and six residences for musicians, while reflecting the city’s iconic facades and engaging pedestrians.
Project Description:
This project captures the vibrant culture of New Orleans through architectural design that mimics the city’s traditional facades, such as ironwork and colorful exteriors. The building will blend functionality with community engagement, fostering a lively connection to the street and its pedestrians.
Project Requirements:
The building will house:
One 1500 seat theater.
One 750 seat theater
Three 250 seat theaters.
Six residences for musicians.

Project Objective:
To create a physical map of the Kuskokwim River in Alaska with a focus on people migrations and winter travel safety, and to design a winter shelter cabin that provides refuge for travelers during emergencies.

This project explores the Kuskokwim River’s significance in supporting migration and travel, particularly during harsh winter conditions. The design emphasizes functionality and safety, creating a cabin that serves as a vital resource for winter travelers. The shelter is thoughtfully designed to offer warmth, comfort, and protection, reflecting the practical needs of its users and the unique challenges of the Alaskan environment.

Project Objective:
To create a single family residence that embodies the chose music in plan, section, and elevation
Project Description:
Architecture has been termed “frozen music” due to the parallel art of harmonic and rhythmic order. Music and architecture draw different expressions yet are bonded by the dynamics of rhythm, texture, layering, proportion and harmony. The creation of both architecture and music evoke holistic emotion and bond the end user to the composition.
Project Requirements:
The residence will not exceed 3,000 sq.ft. and include a recording studio and two large spaces for entertaining.
